What's so troubling is how this case has presented itself through the media and to the public/community.
Despite thousands of hours of video and thousands of pages of information that was gathered during the investigation, they are still using a photo of Kendrick out of context. They have publicly named kids and accused them of murdering Kendrick. These kids live in a small town. They have damaged the reputation of these kids and all those involved in the investigation by stating there is some kind of conspiracy to cover up his death. People have been mislead into believing that this has racist implications. It has divided the community, people have been harassed and received threats. They have no facts to back up their allegations. They have questions, a lot of which can be explained and have been answered but they haven't corrected themselves or backed off those statements that have been made and they are continuing to use them to fire people up.
Both Pastor Rose and Leigh Touchton (former NAACP president), have given many years of their lives to the community to fight for justice. They both did their own extensive investigation into KJ's death. They both spoke out on their findings and because they spoke the truth of what they found and it differed from those that are involved in this campaign are using to fuel the fire, they to have been thrown under the bus after all these years of service they provided to the community.
Like I said, this is a small community, that has become divided and I would hate to live in that community right now, let alone be employed by LE, the school, related to an accused, etc.
They are not going to stop or be satisfied, until someone is convicted of his murder?
There are only two ways that I see anyone being convicted in this case. Either someone confesses or it's caught on video. There are no facts, or evidence presented so far, after all this time, that indicate this was anything other than an accident.
