NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. - Family members say the girlfriend of a man accused of hitting and killing a man with special needs is still with him and may be in danger.

Police say Joshua Anderson mowed down Kevin Marshall, 20, after an argument on the Fourth of July.

Ok, reading the first article alone, it looks like she went with him voluntarily, in my opinion. She new what this varmint did, and took off with him anyway.

No argument here. But if we find her, then we find him.

Following. Hope they're found and whomever is responsible is brought to justice.
To deliberately run over someone is beyond evil.
And Kevin was special needs... :( Maybe impulsive and 'said things'.
Does not mean he deserved to be murdered.

That mug shot tells me that he has been to jail before. I wonder, what for.

Probably should have been locked up for that haircut alone.

This MSM article includes more information about the murder:

Missing person case opened for girlfriend of 'dangerous' Newton County suspect
Okay, so LE has his truck...
  1. What are they driving or are they driving?
  2. Does KB have a vehicle and if so, is it missing?
  3. Are they holed up somewhere in the area?
  4. What kind of searches have taken place near the location the truck was found?
  5. Any reports of stolen vehicles?
Probably should have been locked up for that haircut alone.
Lol :wipes screen: :p

Tried googling this case this morning, but looked like the newest article was from 17 hours ago. Sometimes I wonder how someone gets murdered, the murderer is wanted and on the run and has possibly taken a person reported as a missing person with them, and it can't get a little more media play?

I completely understand that KB could be willingly with him, even if that's the case, so what? This guy ran down a special needs person, and I would say that alone makes him pretty much unsafe for society. The fact that he killed someone with a vehicle allows me to operate under the assumption he is "armed and dangerous" as he is willing to use a vehicle as an instrument for murder, and the local news site can't even update the story for the east coast morning media rounds (when they're on the east coast). These things kind of become common place after reading so many cases on WS and seeing certain ones get ignored or less attention than others, but every now and again it just irks me and I have to say something somewhere. MOO, sorry /endrant.

New details about 'dangerous' Newton County suspect in deadly hit and run
[...]

That same pickup truck was found Saturday by deputies. It had been ditched in a wooded area near the scene. Investigators said they impound the truck and performed a search. Deputies also executed a search warrant on Anderson’s home, but deputies said they don’t have anything solid that could lead them to Anderson. Deputies said his family has also not been too forthcoming with information on his whereabouts.

Guessing here that there was blood or other evidence on that truck ?
Wonder how fast the perp was driving ?

Could it be that his family is hiding/protecting him ?
They should be ashamed if they are !

I wouldn't do that for anyone.

Looks like Kendra's FB hasn't been updated for a long time ?
Also.. I'd think if someone(s) been concealing them-- that would get old really fast.

More likely they're living out of some vehicle somewhere.
Hoping that no one else is hurt.
On the fence as to whether Kendra is a victim in all of this-- but they need to be found soon !!
Imo.

I can possibly buy that Kendra didn't know about the accident at the time they disappeared. Possibly... But, what does she know or what is she thinking now? What possible explanation did he give her for having to go into hiding, live out of a vehicle (if that's what they're doing), etc.?

Does anyone think JA is holding her captive, ie: unwillingly? MOO

JMO, I definitely am leaning towards the fact that he is hiding, and his family is probably assisting him, or at the least they aren't offering LE any assistance/information whatsoever. I still can't land either way on whether she is willingly with him. She probably is, and my cynicism in humanity leads me to think she probably is willingly aiding and abetting him from being apprehended.

That being said, there's still a part of me that can't discount the possibility that she is being prevented from leaving him or getting away. For every thought of "she's actually helping this asshat AFTER knowing what he's done", there's another fleeting thought of "....but what if he took her phone and he's just lost it, and with the prospect of life in prison looming I worry he may try and take a self harm route and take her with him. If she is actively working against LE, then she should certainly be charged with some form of crime.

According to our local news, JA has been arrested in New York. The article does not state whether or not KB was with him.

Man accused of running over, killing man with special needs captured in New York

I'm unsure if it wasn't on the original article and they added it later, but the very last two lines of it now read:

Police told Channel 2 Action News the family of Anderson's girlfriend, Kendra Browning, reported her missing after Anderson went on the run.

The Newton County Sheriff's Office told Jones that Browning was also found in New York.
