I keep staring at the live feed waiting for it to come back on.

I have it open and turned up in one window with this open next to it so I can have both open and type while I watch.

Joseph is back in the courtroom sitting in the same place as before

Joseph has CF? Woah. I didn't know that.
Now his Mom's statement that he will die because they won't take care of him makes sense to me.
Defense wants 5 years for Joseph, factoring in his shortened life span.
Neither defendant has a record.
Asking for life for Jennifer. She is not the most egregious. Grew up in foster care.
Asking for mercy for both.

I feel like the fact that she grew up in foster care and then abused and murdered her foster child makes it especially egregious!

Especially because she reached out to the mother and offered to take the kids. Otherwise they'd have been with the aunt.

I don't understand why she wanted to foster so badly. She was twice rejected as a foster parent before getting these girls, did she just want victims?

I've been watching 2 other trials and haven't been able to keep up watching this one. Why did she get rejected?

Now I switched off, I'm too nervous.

So basically he got 30 and she got 40?

  • #474
well that was confusing, but i didn't hear lwop?

  • #475
judge goes easy on them then says one of the worst cases he's had to try

  • #476
She can't get 40, the minimum was life! I missed here but he got 30 with 20 on parole and the judge did not appreciate the defendant's family either!

No LWOP. And I think he ran the sentences concurrently. Wonder how long GA prisoners usually do with good behavior.

If I understood correctly, she got Life +40 to be served, so that's technically 70 yrs before she would be eligible for parole. He got 50yrs with 30 to serve. He will be eligible in 30.

Am I right or wrong?
