AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- The mother of a 16-year-old girl who was found dead less than two miles away from her home has been placed on the jury trial calendar.

According to court records, Tanya Tripp has been placed on the calendar for May 28.

However, there are 44 other people ahead of Tripp on the calendar. No firm date has been set for Tripp's appearance.

Tripp, alongside her husband Leon Tripp, stand accused of the murder of Janell Carwell.

Carwell's body was found in March 2018.

Had to look this up:

Jury trial calendar call - Legal Definition. n. A courtroom procedure in which the judge or a court officer calls out the names of the cases on the calendar, is advised by the parties or their lawyers whether they are ready to proceed, and, if they are, sets a date for trial.

and here I personally thought it WAS the trial starting....

I would prefer to get both of them....but will take either one, if someone will fold.

I want to see that worthless excuse for a 'mom' convicted and locked up.

She brought this on, bringing home a violent ex convict, allowing him to sidle up to her vulnerable daughter, pretending not to notice when that predator takes her out of the home on the night of her birthday....and covering for that monster, even when she knew what he had done. :(

She better not walk away from this.:mad::mad:

Don’t forget that she was likely in the midst of helping him eliminate her other daughter when they were found by LE.

She disgust me. Hoping swift justice happens this summer....but it seems to want to drag along.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - Tanya Tripp will not go to trial later this month. Her lawyer appeared in court this morning for a pre-trial hearing and requested that trial be postponed. Judge Michael Annis accepted that continuance request.
