Found Deceased GA - LaTania 'Janell' Carwell, 16, Augusta, 17 April 2017 *mom & stepdad arrested*

I am confused about something. Didn't mom say she goes by "Janell"? All of her SM accounts are a version of "LaTania" though and mom is linked to at least her FB page.

I know the found the truck like 2 weeks or so ago and I read where they gave the truck back to the mother, did the FBI or law enforcement by any chance check it for DNA, bodily fluids???????? That truck was the last place we know for sure they were at.

Has LE made a statement that they can verify the story about leaving in the middle of the night? I would really like to know if they did because at this point, I am not convinced. Also, I would like to know who besides the mother was the last to see LaTania.

Yes, the longer this goes on, the more important that question -and the answer to it- becomes, IMO.

Also, LaTania was taken supposedly during the early hours of a Monday.

Her mother has said:
"'We were going to celebrate her birthday when she came home from school and she was like no. I just want you to cook me some fried chicken and macaroni ma. That’s all I want,' Tripp said about the day before her daughter’s 16th birthday."

So it is probably safe to assume LaTania was at school on the Friday before she went missing. What about the rest of the weekend? Was she seen at church on Sunday?

The lack of media interest in her case has been very troubling to me. This case deserves coverage not only on the regional level, but national as well.

Though I have not read anything to that effect, maybe LE was able to verify the witness's claim by reviewing CCTV footage as well.

The tattoo is kind of hard to miss. This is exactly why this case needs more MSM coverage: The more people know what LaTania and Leon look like, the more likely they will be found sooner rather than later, IMO.

That picture of him looks more like a prison id photo, or a drivers license photo after being released, that'd explain the more clean cut look, other than the forehead tattoo

I'm not sure exactly when the photo was taken, but according to the website, he was in custody of the Georgia prison system from 06/15/2009 through 04/07/2015.

I am sorry if the picture is inappropriate. It just does a good job of showing what his forehead tattoo looks like ....

Oh no ... this dude is seriously bad news .... Back in 2009, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for Aggravated Stalking, 10 years for Aggravated Assault and another 10 years for "Theft by Taking." His incarceration apparently only lasted not even six years, however (06/15/2009 to 04/07/2015):

This has to be the single most absurd thing I've ever heard from the mother of a missing child.

I can not even form a coherent sentence on how I feel about it.
