Heartbreaking...
Some faces just connect to your soul, if ya know what I mean. While my daughter was finishing up her last weeks in high school and going through the graduation ceremonies, Janell was on my heart.
I wanted her to be found!
But, this was not the outcome-^%$ evil people-may you rot

[h=1]UPDATE | Investigators: false alarm at suspicious scene on Golden Camp Road[/h]

AUGUSTA, Ga (WRDW/WAGT) --- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office was called to a "suspicious situation" on Milledgeville Road and Golden Camp Road, but it has turned out to be a false alarm.

The Sheriff's Office was called to Milledgeville Road and Golden Camp Road around 7:45 pm for a strong odor, a release states. Investigators found a "suspicious tool box." The Crime Scene Unit began processing the tool box and discovered a large tortoise inside the tool box.

Large crowds arrived at the scene shortly after the call. There were rumors circulating that investigators were on the scene to handle a possible lead in the case of missing 16-year-old Latania Janell Carwell. Investigators say, however, this call has no connection to Carwell or any other on-going criminal investigation.

I have been lurking here since I saw her missing status on Reddit. One of my past students (another young black female) was listed as missing last year, and I was shocked that it wasn't even being covered in this town. I believe that is why LaTania caught my attention.

I am also in two Facebook groups that say they are dedicated to finding her. I don't completely understand the rules here as far as talking about Facebook. I don't want to discuss details about everything that happened on FB, but I would like to explain the "situations" without details to this case because it was completely chaotic and crazy. I would like to see if what happened is something that you (Websleuth veterans) see happening a lot on social media now, or not.
