The only thing that has me scratching my head IF he is a serial killer, how did he go so long without getting caught? and he got caught by being sloppy. That doesn't fit with being a serial killer. Unless he had not planned Lori's attack and it was an impulse, but still to leave so much evidence even placing himself at the crime scene... HMMM

we read she was strangeld so obviously it wasnt planned she prob wore something that turned him on and he came onto her and he rape and strangled.. hes a sicko plus age is catching up with him...

ALSO i am obsessed too i left this up last nigth and keep refreshing the page lol

THis reminds me of a case of a serial rapist in Charleston back in the 90s (that some may recall)...

Over a three year period, a number of young military wives were having their homes broken into and raped (some in the morning hours).....description of rapist was similar in all cases and artist rendition in press, but rapes continued.

Finally, their only piece of evidence was a Nike tennis shoe left outside the window of one victim, hence the rapist was referred to as te "shoe bandit"...

LE finally got their man after HIS WIFE finally called in a tip after she started suspecting "shoe bandit" could be her husband...he was married with three young daughters!!

THis case ended with high drama. After LE got tip from wife, they attempted to pick up husband who ran. There was a high drama, high speed chase through all of Charleston for a couple of hours and ended with the suspect losing control of a stolen vehicle and slamming head-on into a telephone pole on Rivers Avenue.

Suspect lived however, but sustained major head trauma and was deemed incompetant to stand trial. Several years later, DA discovered he had recuperated enough mentally to be deemed competent and he stood trial for some of the rapes, and was convicted.

The wife appeared on Oprah and did divorce the husband.

It might also be worth noting that Tara had taken night classes in Waycross, GA (if I'm remembering right)...

Good for them... I'm so glad they did this since he's a county employee. The lines will be less blurred.

Thanks Hollye..I tell ya looking at that map almost made me physically Ill ...I am willing to bet he had something to do with atleast one other if not both!

Has anyone thought about trying to contact anyone from the Deloach or Moody family?

Has it been found yet when he was at Shaw AFB? I also wonder in what capacity he was there...was he in the military, or was he there working as a civilan?

Columbia, SC is less than an hour away from Shaw AFB. Columbia has a lot of military presence.

And I was living in Columbia when Dail disappeared, but seem to recall that there was a witness who gave a description of an old pick up truck and long shaggy haired male??

Does anyone know exactly where Lori was found? I can find a Tower Road in Glenville, but looking at county lines, it is outside of Long County, off of 196. There is a Tower Road in Jesup, but that is outside Long County as well.

Kentjbkent, do have any idea where this Tower Road is in Long COunty? I did see some reports that the name of the road was Tara Road, but that is also in Jesup.

Other than veromi and using what we have found out I can only place him in SC from 90-96
I have not beem able to conform if he was in the service ir just a civilian .
Theres not a whole lot out there about him which is how he probably liked it.

as far as dail is concerned I looked at it too remember in 92 he would have been 20-21 so his taste then could have been yournger more his age women.

The road you have for where her remains were found is in Tattnal County. Fire Tower Rd in Long County is south east of Ludowici. Google maps (Fire Tower Rd. Ludowici, south, long, Georgia.)

Hi Kentjbkent ! I recall that description, too. I wonder though, since it was over 18 years ago (and serial killers do have to start somewhere), perhaps in his younger years he wore his hair longer? That is why I wondered if his affiliation to Shaw was on a civilian basis...:waitasec:

I was just reading some on Kristi Cornwell...She was a probabtion officer :waitasec:

I am finding small comments here and there about tower road some where along that road theres a dirt road leading off of it and possibly a hunting club in that area
