GUILTY GA - Lori Arrowood, 42, Liberty County, 25 Sept 2010

...(snipped)...

The composite sketches are from these two cases that are both in the proximity of Lori and Gail's abductions.

Thanks so much for putting the pictures up... ALOT of similarities!

However... Toyal Jackson's was in Carrollton, which isn't close to Hinesville. It's in the NW part of the state - about 300 miles.

wow, the similarities between those composites & his photos is frightening

Funny you should bring this up....

On Wednesday, a co-worker and I were looking at Kenneth's facebook and co-worker was shocked when she saw an aquaintance of ours listed as friend!

We tried to speculate how they could possibly know each other, based on what we know of her, and were dumbfounded....only thing we could come up with is she owns her own property management business, so maybe she rented to him before? (She lives in our town....not his)

Then Thursday, she WALKS into my business (where we know her from) and we were both wanting to ask SO BAD....but don't know her well enough to say, "Hey....how do you know Kenneth Lumpkin, the murder suspect all over the news?????"
:waitasec:

The sad part is she could have been one of his next targeted victims and didn't even know it. :(

I have a strong feeling this perp is going to get linked to several cases before it's all over. I just pray he'll give up the locations of the bodies so the families can have closure.

I strongly urge you to ask this person if they had any conversations (Email, IM, PM, phone calls, text messages, voice mail) with Kenneth in the past and if they did report this to the local authorities investigating the case or the FBI.

Hello all! I have been following this thread for days and am amazed at the great sleuthing here. This is one scary perp.

I wanted to jump in and add a thought regarding FB friending. I read somewhere on here that Lumpkin plays Mafia Wars on FB. I don't play that game but I did play Mob
Wars on FB for awhile. (huge waste of time BTW) Anyway, in order to advance in these games, one must continuously recruit/add members to their mob. There is a list of peeps from all over who play the game to choose from and add as a FB friend in order to join your mob/mafia. This could possibly explain why friends are still being added to his FB. He could have sent out invites before his arrest and folks are just now responding. I had friends from all over the place when I was playing. The risk of friending strangers was just too scary for me so I quit playing after a few months.

I hope this makes sense but thought I would share a little about how these games work.

The similarities in Lumpkin/the composites is frightening.

He did have a good cover... I wouldn't suspect a CO.

I know he was a corrections officer and they didn't suspect him because of that. But he also knew Gail, knew her habits and knew she lived alone. In that situation anyone should be looked at, regardless of their career.

There is also the impact of being a corrections officer and what kind of inmates he dealt with. I have an uncle who you wouldn't know was the same person after 15 years of working at a state prison.

I would not be even a TINY bit surprised if detectives knocked on my door tomorrow and told me they thought my uncle was a serial killer. Working there has changed the way his mind works and he is just not the same person. I refuse to be anywhere near him now, because I honestly have no idea what he is capable of.

I wonder how Kenneth's wife felt about him working as a corrections officer?

If they had looked at him in 2007, or earlier... Lori might still be here. Even if they never had enough to arrest him... the fact that he had been investigated even though he was a corrections officer, may have been enough for Lori to not put herself in the situation of being alone with him.

Thanks so much for putting the pictures up... ALOT of similarities!

However... Toyal Jackson's was in Carrollton, which isn't close to Hinesville. It's in the NW part of the state - about 300 miles.

From Ludowici/Gumbranch to Carrollton - That is 5 hours.

Now I am one of those people who does enjoy driving, but that isn't a big deal to me. We drive 6 hours one way for a doctor's appointment for my daughter at least once a year.

If I was killing people, driving 5 hours to increase my odds of getting away with it... wouldn't be a big deal.

I would personally consider anything in the state of Georgia or a connecting state to be in proximity to Kenneth Lumpkin.

I imagine his family probably visited family, went on vacation and he may have even assisted in transporting inmates to other facilities. I would also be checking anywhere else that he traveled at the time he traveled there.

If he committed even a few of these crimes, he was doing something right to get away with it. No connection was made until two women disappeared in a few mile radius that looked a lot alike. I do not think that he stayed within an hour of Liberty/Long county killing women. I think it would have been connected before now if that was the case.

http://www.examiner.com/missing-persons-in-national/lori-arrowood-s-friend-says-lori-was-a-wonderful-loving-generous-person

Christine said of Kenny Lumpkin: "He in my book is a coward and sick person. I never liked him from the day I met him. He always gave me the chills whenever he would come watch us ride our horses."

Christine said, "Shelly [Kenny's wife] is a wonderful human being. So kind ,so loving and very generous. My heart goes out to her ... not only is her best friend dead, her husband is responsible for it."

Don't know if it is important or not, but the letter from the grandmother (who wrote the detectives in Kristi's case) stated her grandson lived in Florida and that he was 27. This would mean he would have been ten years younger than lumpkin. That said, I still say the sketch looks so much like him its not even funny. Anyone checked into possible family members in the NC area for the Lumpkins?

Good Evening All,

Newbie here. I had been following this thread since I first typed in Lori's name into google and found it. Great work on what you guys have been able to piece together. I used to live in Hinesville, sometime ago and I knew Kenny and Shelly along with numerous family members and friends of both Lori's and the Lumpkins. The first thing I would like to say is that Shelly was/is not the type of woman that would tolerate her husband doing something and just ignore it. She is a wonderful woman and is very compassionate.

You must remember that Kenny (who is/was a correctional officer) might have had defensive wounds but could have easily justified them due to the nature of his job. If Shelly suspected anything at all she would have told someone. That said, you have to remember that this is a very small tight knit community where everyone knows everyone. I am totally creeped out by what has been brought to light regarding additional possible "victims" but I can not say I am surprised. Has anyone looked into people that have been found (not just the missing), with no known suspects?

When I knew Kenny he was at least 30 lbs lighter. So the sketches would be fairly accurate to the time frame I knew him. Does anyone know where he grew up? Things seem to be to "neat" for this to be a first time crime. I would love to know if he attended the vigil the night before for Deborah Moody. Seems like he was pretty brave in knowing he was the last one to see Lori, yet totally integrating himself in with the search and hanging with the family etc. Wonder how he acted after Deborah disappeared...Was he there, hanging around, assisting with any searches?????

Welcome to Websleuths! So glad to have someone who can provide some personal input into this.

I particularly appreciate your comments about Shelly. The poor woman has lost her good friend and, now realizes that she may have been living with a very evil person. Even though she is at absolutely no fault in this, her relationship with her entire circle of friends will change too. (How will she ever be able to look Nathon in the eye?) Hopefully many of her friends will rally around her.

Someone commented earlier that 'she must have known something was amiss'. I don't buy that for one second. Could she have had the occasional feeling that there was more to her husband than met the eye? Of course. But we don't truly know someone unless they choose to let us in to the depths of their soul.

My thoughts are with Lori's family, Nathon, their friends and the entire community. Please stay strong and pull together.
