GUILTY GA - Lori Arrowood, 42, Liberty County, 25 Sept 2010

I think that pretty much says it all

You are so right Mahoneys. There may very well be more than one additional body in that area based on what I feel to be connections with Lumpkin and other cases in the area.

Many times these perps use the same dumping ground, especially if they've repeatedly dumped bodies there that have never been found. He would have felt safe in leaving Lori there, thinking she too would not be located.

Sadly some perps feel like a certain location is there "cemetery" of sorts too. I just pray EVERYTHING this man has done to his prior victims comes to light very soon so other families can also have closure.

The new search for Debora Gail Moody is on the heels of the slaying and discovery of the body of 42-year-old Lori Arrowood last week. Arrowood and Moody both knew Kenneth Lumpkin. Lumpkin was charged in connection with the death of Arrowood.

The Long County Sheriff's Dept., Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Long County Fire Dept. set up a search for the missing woman. Moody has been missing since Dec. 4, 2007.

They are searching in an area off Tower Road in Ludowici -- the same area where the body of Arrowood was found last week.

"We have evidence leading us to believe the two occurrences are related, " Nobles said.

I too hope they get answers they so desperately need, I also hope his wife gets the answers she needs. She is completely and utterly devestated and cannot even begin to fathom what has happened. Thier son turned 14 this weekend :(

I will have to look for a news site link now that I am back home, but early this morning while driving to a dr. appt, a local radio station was reporting on the funeral of Lori this morning, and then brought up Gail's case and stated that LE has now stated they have "evidence" that may link Lumpkin to her murder?

may be cleaned up. Perhaps a speck of blood that Lumpkin missed in cleaning the cops found. They may have used that "glow' stuff and found more blood.

Shelly posted on Lori's facebook before Lori's body was found about please come home. I think if there was blood just simply left in the house that she would not have typed that.

Shelly worked that weekend she had or has no clue what went on. From what I understand she only knows what she is getting from the news, no one is able to answer anything for her.

Oh I don't believe that Shelly knew anything about it. Lori was her best friend and Shelly loved her like a sister.

So heartbreaking to lose 2 important people in your life ...let alone like this.

I think i remember the girls (lori's Daughters) were staying at the house in case she came home..I assume either he cleaned up or something. They obviously would have been waiting on her to come home if there was blood all over the walls. I bet he wiped it down and they found it with luminol.

I still wish we knew the WHY

A mod needs to be notified that Lori's body has been found. So I am going to post this so that I can alert my own post so the title of this thread can be changed to show she has been found.

This case is in the Awaiting Trial forum. We put the "found" prefixes in the Missing! forum.

Hope that helps clear up why the heading is the way it is. Would you like me to change the title?

I just wanted to add that Lumpkin grew up in a military family so he lived many different places until he moved here with his family, met Shelly in high school and married her. His family retired here also. His father passed away about 7 years ago (with cancer). He has one sister and one brother, not sure where they live. Finally, his mother was a school bus driver. She is retired now. From what I understand she is a wonderful christian woman and has many friends. She is DEVASTATED beyond comprehension that her son has done this. Lumpkin's mother, wife, and others (not sure how many or who) saw him briefly last Friday at the jail where he was being arraigned. Shelly asked him "what did you do to her?" and he said, "I don't remember". She told me that herself. She literally lost it at that point and had to be carried out. She is an absolutely wonderful person and she is grief-stricken at the loss of her best friend. She can't even really grieve right now for trying to wrap her head around how on earth this could have happened. In addition to that, she is trying to protect a 14 year-old boy who is heart broken. It's absolutely ungodly what these people are having to endure.

There are so many victims in this story. I think people forget these monsters have familys who are hurt also. Thanks for filling us in on this!

Shelly not having her best friend and then finding out that her :loser: husband did something to her best friend. I can just imagine how upset a woman would be to get an answer like that and I know she feels just horrible about everything even though it's not her own personal fault.

They need to take the computer from the house and see if anything is on there that Kenneth looked at.

It's interesting that on Sept 25th from 10pm at night all the way till 1257am he was playing Mafia Wars on facebook. then at like 6 something in the am He was on it again... NO other nights did he play like this if you look at his older posts on Mafia Wars. HE knew he had done something horrible. Well in his mind maybe not horrible, but the creep couldn't sleep.

This man seems very sick. And how he just smirks on that photo of his is just creepy.

Was Shelly working during the day or nights? Where was Kenneth Saturday night -- did he go on to bed or go do something else-- perhaps try to cover up something?

I was hoping something would turn up. WSAV reported that the dogs kept taking them to where Lori's body was located. :(

It's been several years since Gail was reported missing and if Lumpkin is behind Gail's disappearance he had plenty of time to do whatever to cover it up.

Even if he was doing something out of the ordinary Shelly wouldnt immediatly think it was strange considering HER BEST FRIEND was missing. IMO. My husband loves my best friend and vise versa. I would have taken it as worry and concern. Id be more curious to know his demeaner the nights the other women came up missing. Im sure there was some sort of pattern to his actions. Not that I would expect her too put two and two together but looking back NOW she may be able to differentiate.
I feel so bad for Shelly she has to want to be there for her best friends husband and kids. Im sure she feels guilt for not seeing what kind of monster she is married to. I feel so bad for everyone in this situation Nate and the girls are living through hell but Shelly has top think she put her best friend in harms way. I cant imagine the pain shes feeling now. This whole case has me bawling all day. RIP Lori and anyone else this monster got his hands on. Also may EVERYONE hes hurt find inner piece!!!

I can't imagine the heartbreak of learning the man you loved and shared a life with is nothing more then a monster. A cold blooded killer. Knowing that for so many years you slept right next to a murderer. Possibly a serial killer.

It's pure luck that Shelley herself is still breathing. This guy hits so close to home, it was probably just a matter of time before he would have taken her too.

My heart goes out to Kenneth's family. The person they loved the most is the reason for so much pain and I highly doubt they will get the love and support that Lori's family is getting. There will be those who turn on them and take their anger out on the family. :(

I noticed "military family" and noticed many killers have military dads. (drew P for 1)
I am not knocking the military families........my hubby is 27 Yr retired USMC officer.
But could his early life of been one of abuse from dad????
