:( please leave victims out of our threads.

Huh? I was replying to a post where someone explained what is going on with her. In fact it's already been discussed many times in this thread. I didn't bring a victim into the thread, I wouldn't do that.

I simply expressed how horrible it must be for her after realizing everything that has happened. My heart goes out to her and I am thankful that she wasn't hurt too. She has all of my sympathies and prayers and support.

However, If my post broke rules or is greatly offensive to the board I request that it be deleted.

I just wanted to add that Lumpkin grew up in a military family so he lived many different places until he moved here with his family, met Shelly in high school and married her. His family retired here also. His father passed away about 7 years ago (with cancer). He has one sister and one brother, not sure where they live. Finally, his mother was a school bus driver. She is retired now. From what I understand she is a wonderful christian woman and has many friends. She is DEVASTATED beyond comprehension that her son has done this. Lumpkin's mother, wife, and others (not sure how many or who) saw him briefly last Friday at the jail where he was being arraigned. Shelly asked him "what did you do to her?" and he said, "I don't remember". She told me that herself. She literally lost it at that point and had to be carried out. She is an absolutely wonderful person and she is grief-stricken at the loss of her best friend. She can't even really grieve right now for trying to wrap her head around how on earth this could have happened. In addition to that, she is trying to protect a 14 year-old boy who is heart broken. It's absolutely ungodly what these people are having to endure.

Just wanted to thank you for the update.

It seems anytime we hear about that side it's always good things. Like I said with Lori and her family, bad things seem to happen to the best people. Everyone in this situation was a good person (except one). I do hope the community shows support for them too.

So glad to see the compassion for not only Lori and her family but the family of KL, so many times that is not the case. Their worlds were destroyed too. MandyLeigh I understood your intent and thank you, ITA.

What did he sing?

In the KTOC vid, there were songs in the background.

Two hours away.... and in SC.
GM and LA lived close to each other but in different counties.
This person was found two hours north.
They said the person has been deceased for "months."

Now, every case that comes up in the vicinity of K Lumpkin makes me wonder if LE knows more or if they are comparing cases.

Today, there is this

Here is another woman who was found in the same area, unidentified, in 1995.

Law Enforcement has called off the search for Gail Moody. After two days of combing through a densely wooded area, still no sign of her.

Moody disappeared nearly three years ago. Her case went cold until the body of Lori Arrowood was discovered last week. Now law enforcement is looking to see if there's any connection between the cases.

If anything was remotely found why call off the search and with these cases being so much alike and the distant not far between the two victims and his (Lumpkins) home wouldn't they search his property for her cell phone and anything of Gail's? It just seems like they (investigators) are hot on some trails and wouldn't leave anything out to wonder about. This just doesn't seem like this has been Lumpkins first rodeo of this type act.

Just a very sad service and what a tribute Nathon gave his wife. It took a lot for him to get up there and sing a song. Just amazing.

The picture of Kenneth Lumpkin of his mug shot, doesn't it look like he has a scratch or something on his nose?

  • #459
Yes it did I noticed that early on in the picture

Im confused why they would call off the search after only 2 days. Sounds like its such a dense place it would seem to me it would take longer to thoroughly search it.
Is this the same area where the cadaver dogs kept hitting where Loris body was found? That may have something to do with the reason for the quick ending to the search IMO.
