Glad that she is mostly physically unharmed but the trauma will not fade as quickly as the scratches and bruises. Need this guy IDed, caught and put away.

Wonder if he left any D.N.A.

She is so lucky. I wonder how she fought him off. Enquiring minds want to know....Was it something aggressive she did that scared him off, like a swift kick to the crotch? Or did her screams scare him cuz he was afraid of being seen?

You can't even walk your dog for heaven sakes without being abducted.

This was a Sunday. They didn't give the time. Just wondering. There's alot of creeps out on Sunday mornings either robbing older women going to Church or cruising by up to no good. Usually jacked up from Saturday.

Yes, what made him take off. Poor woman, and thrilled he didn't get her in his car.

Hate to wonder how the victim knew he was wearing green underwear.

Is it possible this is related to the pet car where the woman and her dog were stabbed in Piedmont Park? It's only 15 minute away out looks like. MOO maybe someone local can confirm.

Assuming her wasn’t waving anything at her, may have had the shorts halfway down his bum aka ‘prison’ / ‘males between 13 and 30 in our part of the world’ fashion.

This was my thought as well. Also, green underwear is something someone who knows him might recognize.

I think we are all wondering about that.

<MODSNIP TO COMPLY WITH 10% COPYRIGHT RULE>

It all happened on Beech Haven Drive and Citadel Drive around 6:30am Sunday. Police say the woman was walking her dog alone when the car slowly approached.

<MODSNIP>

"She watched a black sedan turn onto Beech Haven Drive," said Sgt. Jake Kissel, a spokesperson for Brookhaven Police Department. "When she turned onto Beech Haven that’s when she was attacked from behind," Kissel said.

The GBI helped produce a sketch of the man they believe is a lighter complexioned Black male about 5’6" or 5’7" between 180 to 200 pounds. Police report the man was wearing a gray shirt, tan shorts, and green underwear when he tried to force the 50-year old woman in the car.

Also reported in that video but not included in the written story, the little dog ran away in fear during the attack but came back. :( Traumatizing for both of them.

IMO, I would never walk past a car that has driven by me and then stopped. Turn around!

Maybe her house was right (past) there and she felt it was her best bet to get home and inside.She was likely either scared already or was thinking there's no way someone is going after me at 6:30am. I can't question her decision either way.

I don't even walk my dog anymore. :( I just let him out in the fenced in backyard. It's so sad to live in fear.

  • Brookhaven PD continue to search for man who tried to abduct a woman walking her dog
  • ''BROOKHAVEN, Ga. (CBS46) — Brookhaven Police continue to ask for help in finding a man who tried to abduct a woman in a Brookhaven neighborhood.

    R P recalls the terrifying moment the 50-year-old woman showed up at her home after nearly being abducted.

    I used to walk really early in the morning even earlier than she was walking, but now that would be out of the question."

    Police say they need more info and need more tips.''

    "We are really asking for as much help as we can get from the community," Kissel said.
