Good find, looks like a match to me. Now I wonder if she was found and Namus wasn't updated or if her family assumes that is when she passed away but her body is still missing? There are no details except a date of death and a funeral home. :thinking:

Yes, her car was found abandoned on Dames Point Bridge 1/1/18. If it‘s her, she probably didn’t return to Athens and spent some weeks in Jacksonville before she passed. Or maybe she jumped into the St. Johns River and they found her body weeks later?

I found the following arrest report from Georgia:

It shows a DOB of Nov 6, 1958 for Maria Ray, same DOB as shown in the obituary. I think it is her.

I sent an e-mail to the funeral home but got no reply, so I next contacted NamUS and hope they will check it out.
