The victim, Maureen Allaben, was a set decorator for BET's "The Mo'Nique Show." The couple had two children, a daughter age 7 and a son age 10.

Wow ! I am so sorry for this womans family and children, hopefully the children did not know that their mom was in the back of the truck .

At least this guy turned himself in with her and did not hide her poor body.....

this is really sad.....this guy worked in the same type of business as my husband and we knew him from one of our vendors where he previously worked. Just goes to show you never really know people even if you deal with them on a regular basis.

A DeKalb County jury has — again — convicted a man of strangling his wife, tossing her into the bed of his pickup truck and driving to Virginia to drop off their children before turning himself in to police.

Dennis Allaben was sentenced to life in prison late Thursday for murdering Maureen Allaben...

A man twice convicted of murder will get a third chance to make his case to a jury. The state Supreme Court threw out the conviction of Dennis Allaben, who killed his wife in January 2010.

The question is whether he did it intentionally or unintentionally...

Allaben's defense team expects to try to avoid a third trial by entering into plea negotiations with the district attorney's office. The DA's office declined an interview request.

DeKalb County prosecutors say a jury Thursday convicted Dennis Allaben in the death of his wife, Maureen. A judge sentenced him to serve life in prison without parole.

He received a third trial after the state Supreme Court reversed his conviction in July.
