Could we talk about the two white vans he is said to have in his possession or which are associated with Hilton?
Why would he have 2 white vans and not 1 white van?
Is it possible that he either has an accomplice or is the accomplice?
IOW, I look at some parts of this and it seems to fit into a profile of a criminal. The court records found already indicate that he is a long-term criminal who has gotten caught a number of times for theft, drugs, ( I assume solicitation means selling drugs not sex??), so he probably has a long history of doing the same and not getting caught. I would think that he has associated with other criminals for a long time, like around 30-40 years.
OTOH, something's really not right with his after- crime behavior and activities. Look at these things: The use of the pay phone which could be traced, probably at a store with a lot of cameras, the disposal of Meredith's ID, shirts, purse, the bloody seatbelt from his van, and her dog left alive and standing across the street. Most importantly, the attempted use at 2 banks ( they all have cameras) of Meredith's ATM card.
It's a huge red flashing sign pointing right at the man. Is he that stupid, desperate, mentally ill?
OR-
Could the second part of this, the incredibly clumsy after-crime clean up mean that this man is the fall guy for a more sophisticated killer, with each of them driving white vans to confuse and mislead LE?
If Hilton is simple minded, mentally or physically ill, it would be very easy for a cunning killer to use him as the bait ( with the dog and Meredith's dog) and the clean up person. It takes all the first person risk off the killer if police are chasing the long-term accomplice.
Obviously, they would have to have a long-term dominant/ subservient friendship or relationship of some sort with a history of trust.
