I superimposed the photo taken of the young woman with the oxygen tube over the image shown on the GBI website to see how they'd match up. See attached images.

They ARE the same person. Photo when she was unconcious in the hospital & artist's sketch.

Sandra Landrum's natural haircolor looks much darker than JD's hair. Otherwise, they certainly favor.

Hi everyone, sorry I have been absent. I have not heard back from the coroner regarding my second request for a rule out list. I also asked him where/who we need to submit possible matches to so of course no response on that yet either. I am going to PM believe and whoever else I mentioned that has their contacts at GBI and see what they can gather for us in terms of that. I will also mention who we wish to submit at this time and see if they can help in that regard. Can someone make a list of exactly who we truly wish to submit and the main point as to why we think it is them. I have seen some recent ones, great work!

I have been absent as I have been busy with school but also needed a break from the site a bit after a friend of mines sister was murdered recently. This is off topic but how do I submit a thread for the the Crime News area? The murderer is at large and I would like to get his picture out there. Please and thanks!

Not sure if anyone has looked at this woman yet, but take a look and see what you all think. Helen Ann Morgan missing from Barnesville, Lamar County, GA in 1984. She is listed with photo on Doe under 7DFGA. The only thing that is off is the height but otherwise, maybe a possibility considering the time she disappeared? Could she have been held somewhere for a while then finally 'discarded'? Just a thought. I have been going through all missing females from GA and this one stuck out. There are a few others that stick out too. I'll keep searching! Thanks everyone!

lunar1121, I think that getting her listed on NamUs should be our main objective. Most of these women have DNA in the database, so if we could get Walker(Baker) County Doe relisted and her DNA run we may have a match. This is the address I used to contact NamUs. Maybe if more people inquired.....

Yes, I know they are the same person. I just wanted to compare the very clear photo of the woman with the oxygen tube with the artist's sketch so we could see how she might look with her eyes open.

I'm not really good at this, but what about Carolyn Sue Martin?? I guess what sticks out is "no known scars." She could easily have stretch marks from childbirth that her family never saw. She's kind of similar in other ways...like the nose..! :)

Date Of Birth: January 19, 1957
Age at Time of Disappearance: 24 years old
Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 5'5"; 110 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: White female. Brown shoulder-length hair with bangs; light blue eyes.
Marks, Scars: Both of her ears are pierced once. No known scars nor tattoos.
DNA: Available
AKA: Sue

Circumstances of Disappearance
Carolyn Martin and her 2-year-old son, Mark Martin were last seen on August 31, 1981.
They reportedly were dropped off on the side of I-75, just north of Toledo, Ohio, by Mark's father.

Carolyn Martin's family and friends had gathered the afternoon of August 31, 1981, to help her pack for an abrupt move to San Antonio. Her fiance wanted to relocate there for a job at an auto shop. The two had recently gotten engaged after years of acrimony. Carolyn's ex had very little to do with either her or Mark before that point -- until a paternity suit ordered him to pay child support. The couple had reconciled and were looking forward to a new life together.

Carolyn stopped at her mother's Hazel Park home with Mark that evening to say goodbye. That was the last time the family saw her or Mark.

Within an hour after they left the metropolitan Detroit area, Carolyn reportedly told her boyfriend she didn't want to go with him to Texas anymore. He then left her and Mark on the side of I-75 with a suitcase, $4,000 in cash and the clothes on their backs. No one has seen or heard from them since. Their names, DOBs and Social Security numbers have never been used.

Madison Heights Police started looking into the case the following spring, after the family filed missing person reports.
Foul play is suspected.

Good idea! I will email them and the coroner (to try and talk to him about NAMUS) tomorrow morning...I have homework at the moment. So is that how the DNA gets run then, through NAMUS? And is it an automatic thing that gets done every so often or does someone have to request a DNA search for certain cases? Just curious.

ETA:
I am posting a link in the Crimes in the News thread, please read it and be on the look out for the man!! Thanks!!
