Found Deceased GA - Ozzie Murphy, 60, dementia, walked away from assisted living center, Hapeville, 25 Nov 2019

Officials say 60-year-old Ozzie Murphy walked away from his assisted living center on Monday and has not been seen since. Officials believe someone left the front gate unsecured, allowing him to leave.

According to the general manager of the center, Murphy suffers from a serious case of dementia and constantly rubs his hands together. He does not speak.

Murphy was last seen wearing a blue and black jacket and dark-colored pants. He is around 6-feet-2-inches tall with a weight of around 155 pounds.

The missing elderly man often walks close behind people, which may be confused as a threat, officials say.

Oh my, this is scary. A good friend of mine owns an adult home and they have to be so careful at all times regarding security & keeping tabs on the residents. So sad to see that Ozzie was able to leave thru the front gate so easily. I hope he is found quickly.

Does Ozzy have any family members or friends in the area ?

According to a flyer, Murphy is an alumni of Saint Augustine's University and a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. That flyer states that a community foot search is being conducted on Wednesday afternoon around the Hapeville Manor on Coleman Street. They are using the #FindUncleOzzie to help in the search.
