GA - Priscilla Culberson, 48, abducted & murdered, Norcross, 24 June 1997

A 31 year old Norcross man, already spending the rest of his life in prison for killing two women, admitted on Thursday to raping, strangling and beating to death a third woman.

Charles Lee Duffy pleaded guilty to malice murder after DNA evidence tied him to a ten year old cold case.


He confessed to killing Priscilla Culberson, 48, who was reported missing on June 24th 1997 when she didn't show up for work.

Cold case closed after Norcross man confesses

"... Her purse and personal items were found bloodied and strewn along Campbelton Road in Atlanta. And that night, her 20-year-old daughter found her nude body in a wooded lot near a MARTA bus stop in southwest Atlanta.

Culberson was feisty and in good shape and fought her killer, whose blood squirted out on the victim's clothes, investigators said. That blood, along with semen, was tested and connected Duffy to the victim, authorities said.

Duffy is already serving a life sentence at the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville for killing a minister's daughter and a business owner's wife, six weeks after Culberson's murder."
