Anyone ever get 'loopy' from the local anaesthetic injected for an extraction, nine hours after the fact?

  • #64
Ha, she’s explaining why she was “loopy” that night because she had three shots for the tooth extraction. She’s referring to Novocain. She’s really grasping, trying to bend the story as she goes along.

Detective is so patient.

Breaking for lunch. Back at 2:30 (plus half hour delay).

Detective tried to appeal to Leilani as a mother and as a human being. Her words fell on deaf ears. No surprise, IMO Leilani is devoid of empathy and insight.

The irony is that cocaine is a numbing agent, it was originally used for things like eye surgery as a local anaesthetic. If she'd just rubbed it on her gums rather than putting it up her nose, her mouth probably would have hurt less.

MOO

And we're back.

LS lied about where she met her drug dealer. It wasn't at the taco place.

DY agreed to monitoring his phone communication with the defendant. A wiretap. And recording devices in their hotel room. The wiretap of the phone was agreed to for THREE MONTHS.

back, FBI lab - Angie Christiansen is now on the stand.

  • #73
Det Lemmons has stepped down for the moment.

Next witness: Angie Christensen, forensic anthropologist.

Presumably, there will be distressing content coming re: Quinton's remains, etc, so take care, folks.

discussing protocols for evidence handling and transfers in the lab.

  • #75
Dr Christensen has been qualified as an expert witness.

Good. Chain of evidence is secure with no wiggle room by defense.

Late October, she identified a bone as nonhuman.

Later, she received photographs of other bones, which she concluded were human. She later received a box of remains. A box containing four paper bags.

examined and photographed one article that was soft tissue with no skeletal remains attached.

oh my word, photos now of skeletal remains, a tiny broken skull :(

LS is watching with a furrowed brow appearing to concentrate very hard. almost appears to b pouting IMO

Each bag was individually numbered by evidence techs.

Item 27. It's soft tissue, so she did not examine it in depth.

Item 28. Assorted bones.

Item 29. Bones, looks to include skull pieces.

Item 30. A combination of soft tissue and bones. She says it is a foot.

Christiansen (sp?) removed all soft tissue found on skeletal remains in order to properly examine them.
