Jury at 9 a.m. will just go straight to the jury deliberation room and continue deliberating once all 12 jurors are present, so don’t expect to see anything on the live stream until the jury has a question or concern.

Judge Whitaker has told them they can adjourn and leave by 3 p.m. today for the holiday.

Sooo, the jury had a question and the media/public was not let into the courtroom until the judge was already on the bench talking about it. We're sending an email to the court asking to please allow time for media/public to get in the courtroom for any questions and certainly for the verdict.

Here is part of @doug_weinstein closing talking about the Texaco and part of Simon Hylton's closing talking about the theory that Yak Gotti got into the Infinity with Shannon Stillwell somewhere behind gas station and went on to kill Donovan Thomas outside the barber shop. Jurors asked to watch the video of Yak getting into a car at the Texaco that night, just note it wasn't the Infinity so I'm not clear why they specifically wanted to see him get in the white car.

Wanted to make a post to clarify what’s at stake for the 2 remaining defendants in the YSL trial. As a summary - due to their criminal histories, if they are convicted of anything, they will get MANDATORY maximum sentences and serve every single day of the time they receive.

Judge Whitaker is on the bench.The jury wants to look at some of the evidence including the video from FedEx of the Shymel Drinks and a song.


The state needs five minutes to finish getting the evidence together and ready for the jury.


The song is being played now.


The two songs the jury wants to hear is Lizard Walk and BS, as well as see the lyrics from the song.


They are now playing a zoomed in version of the Fedex video.


Now they are working on getting the video in reverse, after the jury question.


Now the gas station video from the night of the Drinks murder is being played.


They are trying to figure out how to play the Fedex video in reverse.


Jury has been sent back to the jury room to continue deliberations.

This has happened the three times the jury has had questions. Judge Whitaker asks the jury's questions and it seems the state is not ready to play the evidence they requested.

They seemed to have figured out the two calls between Garlington and Stillwell but the jury appears to have the wrong exhibit number.


There now appears to be three calls between Garlington and Stillwell. Judge Whitaker plans to go back to the jury and ask them which call they want to hear again.


Prosecutors are making sure they have the redacted version of the calls ready before the jury is brought out and clarification is asked from the jury.

My previous tweet was deleted because I accidentally wrote Kendrick instead of Stillwell.Whitaker plans to tell the jury that the exhibit they were asking about does not match the description they said, also that there are three calls between Stillwell and Garlington.

Judge Whitaker does not seem happy about the delays from the state in answering the jury questions.


Jury is being brought out.


The jury clarified that it's a call between Garlington and Stillwell about a car from April 2022.


Members of both Shymel Drinks and Donovan Thomas families are here in the courtroom. Prosecutors Adriane Love and John Floyd are among the prosecutors here on the state's side.


Now the second call is being played involving Stillwell. This call was requested to be played twice, it's an 8-minute call

There seems to be issues with the audio as the call is being played.


There are audio issues the state is trying to resolve as they continue to play the call.


Seems like the jury doesn't need to hear the call a second time. Whitaker just asked the last jury question but they said they didn't want to hear it anymore after being told it does not involve Stillwell.


Jury is back deliberating.


Jury is leaving for the day and jury will come back tomorrow at 9 a.m. to continue deliberating.
