Witness Protection Program.

I have always blown off this idea but now I am starting to wonder.... BUT that is only for Federal Cases right?? And I cannot imagine what kind of info he would have on a case like that! Well, we have made strides on this one in the last couple of months!

I thought I'd posted this here, but must have only on LTWH, sorry.

I have done extensive background checks on Robert. I am wtg one more report. By all accounts it appears that he fell off the face of the earth in 2004. NO DL listed in US at this time, that I could find.

What about WPP? A possibility? Could that give the answers to what some think are a cover up?

Did he have the resources to pull of an identity change w/o help from LE?

I really know nothing about WPP, but I personally think if he was to go into the WPP, why would they place him somewhere geographically close to his hometown? I would think they'd send him across the country, or at least across the state to somewhere he'd be less recognizable. Also, I would think that LE would try to "protect" him and not let anyone who asks know that he's allegedly "washing police cars". jmho...

Well, until GG or family or I see him with my own eyes, I am not going on rumor. And these sightings are rumor..but your points are valid, IF. I think GG said WPP was for federal, I didn't remember that. Would local do something like this? If he was working as informant? Would they hide him out all this time if they thought he was in danger? Does local LE do this type of thing?

Also, I believe the same person that said he was washing cars said he just renewed is DL. Why can't I find a DL for him ANYWHERE. Let alone GA. Maybe my sources are not as good as I thought.

I want to believe he is alive.

This was my thought as well. Lt. Edwards with the CCPD told me to my face "He ain't hiding. He's washing police cars..." Then when Tonya called him to ask him where he was washing police cars, he told her he NEVER said that to anyone. I was not the only one who heard him say this. My friend Tammy was there in his office too! :waitasec: :waitasec:

I am still here guys, I've just been really busy lately!!

I understand what everyone on here is saying, and I agree too! It was Lt. Edwards that told me over the phone that he has NEVER told anyone anything about my brother, because he don't know anything about him! He aid the VERY LAST thing he EVER heard about Robert was that time he was (supposedly) pulled over by the Ga State Patrol in Sept. of 2005. Georgia Girl had contacted the GSP to see if they could narrow things done or give her any info, but I believe they told her that they had no record of that, or anything with his name on it during that time(?). GG could tell you better exactly what they told her.

Still, there have been no sighting of Robert by and family, or friends, and I haven't heard about any others seeing him lately.....what gives!?!?

Like I have said before, I feel like if it were so easy to keep from being seen, then there would be no over population problem in our jails, and prisons. Thing is, he has supposedly been seen in areas that we are from, have lived, and still have friends and relatives living there. I would have thought if in witness protection, or the police keeping him safe for whatever reason, then common everyday people ESPECIALLY from that neighborhood, would not have seen him. Oh well, my fingers are crossed that something will pan out.

No. A friend of mine who has been following this case found some court docs online showing that he had been to court recently for child support. She also sent me a current picture of him from 10/30/10. I will try and get more info. There have been "sightings" for years but I never saw any real evidence until now. I will see if I can get a link to the court docs to post on here.

Bumping. I recently started looking into cold cases/missing people in Georgia. I am from Cartersville and I have stumbled across a few. 3 already involving Garmon. I believe RObert and I may have went to school together but I am not 100 % sure on this. His family like the many others I have found deserve to know....
