was the baby the target? is Malachi a relation? just so odd

  • #82
Anyone do any successful sleuthing on the 14 year old suspect, Malachi Richardson?

  • #83
Did the 14 year old do this on his own?
What did his parents think he was out doing at 2am on a school night?

Where is Royalty? Please let her be found safe!

Has it be determined if there was an actual food order from the delivery location?

The mom said she picked up the order from Checkers. I'm assuming that is easily verified. But whether the residents at the address actually placed the order, I'm guessing no (guess) because of the suspicion of it being a set up.

Is there another parent behind this set-up? Maybe pissed off that they haven't seen their baby in awhile/has lost a custody battle and thought this was a way to get the baby back?
I think another adult for sure. This plan seems to be beyond the capability of a 14 year old boy. Glad they identified him though, and hopefully this won’t take much longer.

would the order be paid for online? who paid for it?

  • #88
That was an easy way to get a car but they’re probably sweating bullets now with it being a kidnapping.

If the motive was simply to steal a car, I think a 14 yo might be able to come up with this scheme. I recall kids in my middle school calling in fake pizza orders (as a prank, not to commit crimes).

But if the motive was regarding the child, I don't think the 14yo could come up with the plan, but instead manipulated into it.

I think the motive was to steal a child. Every time I’ve heard of something like this, the kid is dropped off or left in the car once the thief realizes. I haven’t heard of one where the thief keeps the kid and changes the license plates.

Then again, the mom didn't say anything weird about the order. You'd expect her to say something about that if she found out nobody at the residence accepted the food delivery. (Maybe the instructions were to leave it at the front door?)

They said 2 men. So if it was the 14yr old and a friend around the same age I would think this was about the car. What would a 14yr old want a 1yr old for? ( please don't answer)
I'm sure the food order was verified. My heart breaks for this mother. So scary.
ALL IMO

With covid, I think that’s protocol now.

The convoluted story makes wonder if a child was in the car, even as I don't want to wonder that.

Same here in my area of the US and I'm one state away from Georgia. The drivers typically leave the food, ring the bell, and head back to their vehicle.
