EASTMAN, GA (AP) -- A Dodge County woman is jailed on a murder charge today after what are believed to be remains of her missing husband were found stuffed inside a trash can sealed with tape.

GBI agent Keith Golden says 63-year-old Russell Ray is believed to have been shot by 52-year-old Janet Ray and hidden in the back of a pickup truck parked in planted pine trees behind their house.

Janet Ray, 53, of 2178 Lower River Road, Eastman, was convicted of murder and concealing a death for the July 2006 murder of her husband, Russell Ray. She received a sentence of life in prison plus five years.
