The GBI and the Warren County Sheriff's Office need the public’s help locating 47-year-old Samuel Gearhart who has been missing since November 12, 2024.

Gearhart was driving a red Ford pickup truck (Michigan tag #EVJ7280) and is believed to have been driving on I-20 near Exit 165 in Norwood, Georgia, when he went missing.

His truck may have been broken down on the road near Exit 165 for some time. Investigators also believe Gearhart was traveling with his dog, possibly headed toward Atlanta on his way to Littleton, Colorado, or Toledo, Ohio.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Warren County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man from Warren County.

What happened to Samuel? Where was he driving from? Was it a work truck?

I think this is the same person but he's reported missing from two different states within days of one another. Same name. Same height. (5' 11") Same age at time of disappearance. Facial resemblance very strong, though in the Iowa picture he looks heavier weight-wise than the "missing" photo which appears to be a drivers license.

But this Samuel (Rowland) Gearhart was last seen in Waterloo Iowa on November 21, 2024.

I believe they do not have the same facial markers.
If you look at the moles around the first guys lips, they don't seem to be visible on the guy from Iowa.

Yes, and the GA S.G. has more of a "widows peak" in the hairline. IMO, the photo from Iowa appears younger (brow lines, overall facial shape). I am very fair and prone to lots of little moles. I had ones at 50 (on face and otherwise) I didn't have at 40.

I put the two photos from the official LE sources linked above, side by side to get some more input. I still lean towards it being the same person just a difference in age and body weight (in IL we can go 8 years betwen taking new photos for our drivers licenses). The missing Iowa Sam G has his head tilted up which changes the jaw line slightly, but the nose and eyes are distinctive. So I checked available records in Iowa, GA or Michigan where the truck of the GA missing Samuel was registered to see if there is a full legal name for the GA missing SG.

White pages has a Sam Rowland Gearhart, 40's in Iowa, there is no Samuel Gearhart in either GA or MI in white pages in that age range.

GA missing SG: His truck is an 2009 Extended Cab 4D Engine: 5.4L V8 SMPI Flex Fuel. GA Peachcourt records, not helpful without a middle name. Michigan requires a search by individual court for each county so not knowing what county his truck was registered in or even if he lived there makes that too cumbersome to search. So I struck out on a middle name or DOB.

IA missing SG: He has earlier court history but nothing since 2007 that is posted in the Iowa Judicial records. His birthdate is posted in those public records, but we don't have a DOB of the SG missing from GA to compare it with so not helpful.
