• Dec. 27, 2010: The skeletal remains of a white or Hispanic man were found on the edge of an unnamed lake off Tremont Road at the Interstate 16 overpass. He was believed to have been 33-42 years old and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall.

He had been dead for one to five months. The cause of death has not been determined. He was wearing a worn pair of Georgia-brand work boots, overalls and a silver or stainless steel ring with crosses on it.

Call the Savannah-Chatham police department at 912-651-6675 with any information.

Was looking for something else and happened across this on the Louisiana missing persons page from LSU Faces site. Then I saw your post. Apparently the name posted may not be the MP's actual name. I am hoping this MP's weight is a typo- a man almost 6 feet tall weighing only 130 lbs?? Here's the link- he does wear cowboy boots...

Guessing if PMI were approx. 4 months then this person could have been someone that visited over the summer, not necessarily a local.

Looking at the geography of (where I assume) the lake is, it's a pretty secluded one. Unless you were trekking through the woods, the only way to access it would be to park at a nearby business and walk through some trees. The other way would be hitching a ride on a train, since many train tracks intersect around the area.

His clothing reads as very farm/desert to me. If he traveled from out of town, I would assume he was visiting from another southern state (Texas, Alabama, etc.). Probably came to the area for local fishing over the summer. Maybe he suffered some kind of medical episode while fishing?

Also, the towel in the boot makes me think he suffered some sort of ankle/leg/hip ailment. That could be a helpful clue to identification.
