ATLANTA (CBS46) -
A woman is dead after being shot in the head early Thursday morning in southwest Atlanta.

The shooting happened at 5 a.m. as the Shanna Smith was driving near the intersection of Hadlock Street and Leslie Avenue, police said Thusday.

Investigators don't know if Smith, 24, was targeted or just a victim of a random shooting. They believe she was on her way home from work.

Are you thinking there's a serial sniper? Kisha was also shot multiple times, but in Northeast Atlanta.

Darien Sherry of Riverdale was arrested Wednesday on a murder charge, according to Fulton County jail records. He allegedly shot Shanna Smith twice in the head while she was in her BMW on Aug. 4 near Hadlock Street and Leslie Avenue.
