Praying for "little boy of Griffin", that he will receive good quality care in the hospital. His condition, from the sounds of it appears to me that he may have quite the recovery ahead from this. A low heart rate from severe malnutrition screams potential organ failure. I am by no means an expert, and although they said he was stable, he is still in a high risk stage IMO, and needs to be monitored slowly and carefully. I know LE want to speak with him, but I hope they can wait a few more days. He is very fragile, IMO.

I also found a FB profile for EW under that name (no "Schindley"), and the cover photo on that account includes one of the kids in the 2nd FB profile above ("Krista Tyler Schindley). His profile is locked down so not much else to see, though actual sleuthers might find something useful that can help answer some of the excellent questions posed by @tlcya .

Homeschooling in GA has little oversight. The parent must fill out an online form of intent to homeschool each year. Technically, the students should be given nationally-normed, standardized tests every 3 years and the parent is supposed to teach certain basic subjects every school year. However, other than the declaration of intent, the parent retains all the records and does not need to turn anything in (unless there would be a specific case or reason the info was requested by the state).

One of the articles linked had a video saying they interviewed a neighbor and the interview would be played tonight. He mentioned a 14 year old boy who has not been seen outside of the house since January. I wonder WHY they singled out this 10 year old. But HOW could they go about life as if nothing was wrong inside of this house!

I'm wondering if he's a biological son ? If that's why he's being abused

Ex wife says the child was not hers, so I assume it was the new wife's son? She worked at her spa's so did Dad do the homeschooling? I know not all homeschoolers are bad, but just like in the Orrin & Orson West case and many others - it seems to allow the abuse to happen.

I’m not sure how much authorities can put out there due to the nature of the crimes and the ages of the victims. <modsnip>
I think the law enforcement is probably keeping as much information close to the chest as they can to respect the victims as well as avoid invalidating their case. However, some elements (such as the “missing 14 year-old”) should be addressed before the media relays inaccurate information to the public.
