Miles Bryant was convicted of malice murder, felony murder, kidnapping and misdemeanor false report of a crime. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 12 months.
Following the 2024 trial, Bryant's lawyers filed a motion asking for a new trial, claiming he was "dissatisfied" with the verdict and judgment that took the judge and jury about six hours of deliberations to decide.
