New hope in 38-year-old cold case in Americus

“For a monster to take a mother from her 12-year-old daughter and her 9-year-old son, that was inhumane, and somebody has to pay,” said the daughter of the victim, Clarissa Quinn-Turner.

Thirty-eight years ago, Susie Walker Quinn’s body was discovered on a dirt road off of Georgia 128. Initial investigation done by the Georgie Bureau of Investigation in Americus and the Macon County Sheriff’s office revealed her body was stabbed multiple times in the chest and abdomen.

“She said that she was going with her friend Kenny Tatum and that she’ll be back, but she never did come back,” Turner says.''
