I wonder if a video or a witness shows him taking a test run through that lot but not enough witnesses were present or some such thing?

Not sure why...but I find it very interesting that they were hoping to buy a home soon.

That jumped out at me too.

Sorry if this was noted.

He started work at 9:00 am and got off at 4:00 pm? Is that right? If so, IMO he either worked part time with a hour lunch [6 hours a day] or he could come in and leave when he wanted?

wondering aloud about his life insurance coverage at work for dependants.....

does anyone else find it odd that we have so little info despite LE and DAs seeming to be making lots of comments on the case?

Was there a second child in the morning?
Does the child's mother work? Where?
When was this child last seen outside the immediate family?
What does LE mean when they say immediately dad's story was not adding up?

It just happened. I don't find it so odd, that they are holding information close. There really is no reason for them to give anyone in the public information, since the public is not in danger. I do think more information will come out after the autopsy is concluded.

Also, I wonder if they don't want the family to know so much. If they are still conducting interviews with the family, the might not want them to know his statements. Know what I mean?

I haven't understood the online donation part yet at all. I read funeral costs in one link, but that is a whhhoooooolllle 'nother soapbox altogether for me. Along with medical, dental, homeowners, car, etc..... insurance or savings to cover funeral expenses is a personal responsibility. Even if I didn't open up insurance policies on my children at birth to cover the unexpected, we'd figure it out, even if we had to borrow the money. I wouldn't want "online donations" to be solicited for it. My :twocents:.

My guess is that it's an unspoken "defense/lawyer" fund.

No, but I found it odd that during the CNN coverage where Pierce is quoted quite a bit he says something about being in touch with or having spoken to the mother but not being able to give any details

That seems strange to me - as if some inconsistency revolves around her or she is not on same page as dad or something. Something is off the way he worded that MOO

Maybe Mom did something to the child/is responsible for his death, it happened the day/night before and in an attempt to protect her, the Dad put deceased child in carseat and staged things to look like HE made the tragic error of forgetting child in car all day.............to protect wife, to cover for her.

Very telling. One thing to forget to drop your child off, but if you really did forget, then when you left work, you'd head in that direction - to pick him up. I'm not sure which direction he headed after work, but it does seem that LE may think there was a stop along the way? Or, at least they're not saying. Maybe they don't know yet, maybe they do but aren't telling.

Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for a child to be left in a hot car and die. For LE to charge the father with murder and deny him bond? I think they definitely have more evidence already than they're letting on.

I was rather curious why he was charged with murder rather quickly. Then the wheels started turning. I remember dropping my tot off at day care at that age (and, no, I never forgot). He rambled, gurgled, threw toys, we sang in the car. Unless the child was asleep would he even have an excuse to forget.

But it sounds like he even forgot to pick him up? I don't have a link - just what I'm reading upthread.

Is this another Bianca Jones? Wherein this toddler was already dead before being placed in the car? I hope an autopsy gives us some answers.

RIP beautiful one.

MOO

to add to what you are saying

http://guardianlv.com/2014/06/much-...man-arrested-in-death-of-toddler-left-in-suv/

from that article, "Leanna Harris told the media that she had been instructed not to discuss the case with anyone'' (sure sounds like basic instructions from an attorney)

Short interview.LOTS said.

Idk. Sounds like this witness just took the "what have I done" statements literally -- as in the father admitting that he killed the child. Not exactly what I was expecting. I thought his comments would be based on what he saw, not the words the dad spoke. Just my impression.

OK folks. What's the usual reason that autopsy reports are not available right away for a COD in this or any other case? What ALWAYS takes more time than the autopsy itself?

That's right - TOXICOLOGY

My siggyline includes the line 'my post are imo'.
I should have added it to the end of my short post, sorry. :blushing:

ps
Several people who saw the child 'lying' on the ground said he looked like he was still sitting in the car seat... as in he was not limp.
