LH said Cooper had had trouble sleeping for two nights before his death. Will defense use that and say due to his fatigue from poor night sleep he fell asleep in the car and slumped down and put in the lowest position his father did not see him and plus he was distracted from texting and made the worst mistake he could ever make and forgot Cooper was in the car? Seems like they have to create some scenario where an accident is plausible. Not saying that does it...
Also, if she did have PPD , how would that equate to HIM being the perp? I 'll admit it could certainly be used as a defense tactic, but not with regards to his actions. If I'm not mistaken the PPD defense has been tried and failed more than once, so it would be interesting to see if any more lawyers try it. I think if I'm her lawyer, I'd have much better odds trying a battered woman defense for mom.

Even if the defense uses that scenario, it took less than a minute after putting Cooper in the car seat for JRH to forget to take him to day care, how can that be? Then to go to work, back your car into the space, then walk into work and totally forget that you didn't take your son to day care? At some point he would have realized he didn't do that. It would be a production to take Cooper out of his car seat, walk him into the day care, register him in, if that is how they do things, how can you forget that especially if that is his routine?????
The defense will hope that at least one juror will think that there's reasonable doubt, while the prosecution will hope that none of the juror's will have reasonable doubt. In my opinion jury selection will be key in how this plays out at trial.Even if the defense uses that scenario, it took less than a minute after putting Cooper in the car seat for JRH to forget to take him to day care, how can that be? They are in a very difficult position. These same people were among the ones who gave RH a standing ovation at the funeral and now they are faced with all this stuff emerging about him, I'm sure there are more than a few of them who are feeling at the least conflicted right about now.
I did not realize that not only had he recently been passed over for a promotion at work he had been turned down by CFA corporate when he applied as recently this May! So I am assuming he was unhappy about the promotion bypass and went exploring options at CFA and maybe other places.
How very odd that CFA restaurant was he and Cooper's special breakfast stop several times a month. Makes me wonder if
a) he wanted to work for the company because he is such a fan of their food
or
b) his practice of stopping in for breakfast was to maybe make him look sympathetic to corporate after his son was dead by tragic accident??
or it could be completely coincidental.
One thing about this case is RH's testimony. Does he give it? How Cooper died and who put him in peril is not, obviously, in dispute. Only, really, intent is. Given RH's apparently clean criminal history and multi-pew character witnesses he had, you'd think if anybody could/would/should testify that it was a horrifying accident it'd be him EXCEPT all the nasty, conniving, double-crossing, sleazy behavior revealed in just the first look at the state's case. If he were innocent, you'd think he'd want to be able to say that, to say he didn't do it on purpose, no matter his failings he loved his son, he made a terrible mistake and will live in agony, etc., but to do that he'd have to own answering questions on all his bad behavior. Even if the sexting is as bad as it gets, I think that keeps him off the stand. Wrong?

What you say makes sense to me. But it's interesting RH says Cooper must have fallen asleep and LH says he had trouble sleeping two nights before, and we know RH was at some point at least distracting himself with his phone. If the mother was in on it, then I'd say she made those comments to further RH's story. But if she wasn't (or isn't believe to be) it's a basis to support why Cooper might go to sleep in the car, and why on top of the phone issue RH might be off his game with fatigue too.
Personally I'm not sold on it, but it's an angle and unless they have something that really shows intent I think the prosecution will have to expect to carry the burden of closing off any reasonable angle of how it might have been an accident. Of course this case is just getting started and neither side has had time to prepare the heavy ordnance they'll fire at each other at some point.
I have noticed that only Leanna's social media sites have been deleted. Ross' Facebook is gone but we know that's police regularly do that. I wonder why Leanna hasn't deleted his Pinterest etc. perhaps she doesn't have the passwords? He may have been keeping a few secrets from her.

That fact would never get me to believe it's impossible this was an accident. I've literally turned the wrong way pulling out of my DRIVEWAY! lol Just sayin'![]()
I don't think he would be able to show the emotions that the jury would be expecting to see from him in relation to losing his son. jmosatan will ice skate in hell before rh gets on the stand. he's a coward and he'll never be able to keep his lies straight. his lawyer won't let him.
i think she knows exactly what he was up to and her speech at cooper's funeral was a major case of covering both of their asses. she doesn't want him blabbing about her. but i think she's going to be indicted as well and then they're going to throw each other under the bus.
