I wonder when the car seat settings were adjusted to the lowest possible? That setting would make Cooper very very uncomfortable and probably fussy. Who wants to drive with a fussy child? I wonder if Ross changed the settings at Chik-Fil-a...maybe they have that on video?

The straps were in the lowest position, IIRC. Somewhere in thread #8 or #9, there is a picture of a somewhat younger Cooper sitting in the same seat. It looked like they were on the middle or highest position. :moo: is that he moved them to the lowest position that is appropriate for a newborn for his nefarious purpose.

jmo I think to keep him in a hunched up/closed in position where he couldn't really cry out very loud nor struggle much.

Personally I don't care if there was an issue of isolation ((remember they moved during her last months of pregnancy)) but it could add to a lot of stress ((she would have had to switch drs for example and it was her first baby)) and that could cause some ''issues'' relative to PPD. She didn't have her life long friends nearby. New town and hubby was facing new job in his new career -- lots of pressure there for him too.

JMO --- unhappy hubby comes long after unhappy wife sometimes

Even if you forget 'your exit' like turning wrong way out of your driveway or passing the exit at work it's usually a 'duh' moment from which you recover....all signs lead to premeditation in MOO.

Just wanted to get the ''chicken and egg'' thing out of my pea sized brain just for the record.....I think she was depressed first....abusers love the control that comes with isolating

His community was expanding while her support system shrank -- clearly their church community became increasingly important.

But eventually, and it most likely didn't take long, you knew you were going the wrong way.

Well, I was referring to that specific fact. However, I did post one time that I drove all the way to the barricades of the highway (it was the NJ Turnpike for those familiar with the area) before realizing that I'd not gotten off at my exit MILES before. I probably drove for an hour past it. I had just taken the PA bar and was on my way to take the NJ bar the next day. I was a little *distracted* :bang:

Picturing sweet Copper shackled that way just breaks my heart. :sobs:

I have noticed that only Leanna's social media sites have been deleted. Ross' Facebook is gone but we know that's police regularly do that. I wonder why Leanna hasn't deleted his Pinterest etc. perhaps she doesn't have the passwords? He may have been keeping a few secrets from her.
Maybe she wants him to be the fall guy.

I agree that his behavior is off from the way most of us would react in a situation like that - and that's what set people's hinky meters soaring from the beginning. You gave some great examples of those "off" behaviors that are, IMO, much stronger than the use of the past tense in that one sentence where the present tense wouldn't make sense.

I would really like to hear the full context (if there is a larger one) of LH's saying something like "I hope you didn't say too much." Never in a million years could I imagine saying that in a situation like this.

I'd love to read the full transcript of their talk...

Even if the defense uses that scenario, it took less than a minute after putting Cooper in the car seat for JRH to forget to take him to day care, how can that be? Then to go to work, back your car into the space, then walk into work and totally forget that you didn't take your son to day care? At some point he would have realized he didn't do that. It would be a production to take Cooper out of his car seat, walk him into the day care, register him in, if that is how they do things, how can you forget that especially if that is his routine?????

There is absolutely no way the defense is going to use distraction from sexting as an excuse. That'd be giving the state criminal negligence on a silver platter....

And the sexting, to me, nullifies any distraction defense. You were too distracted to remember your son in the back seat but you were on your game enough to be juggling SIX different women for your extra circular sexting activities???

ITA. And that much was clear from the PCH. Personally, I think there's a good chance the sexting will be excluded entirely unless it was at the time of the initial "distraction" or they can come up with some additional evidence that he wanted to get rid of Cooper and get a divorce, etc. so that it's arguably relevant to motive and not overly prejudicial.

this is the youtube clip he watched twice 5 days before he (and lh) chose to kill cooper.

i think sexting is definitely going to be mentioned but this one is going to be mentioned more.

But that video doesn't have anything to do with sexting. Quite the opposite. My post was just about the sexting. If it comes in, it won't just be mentioned. It will be a centerpiece. But, as I said, I don't see it coming in, necessarily.

This case is mind-boggling. I still cannot see how anybody could intentionally do this to their beautiful little child. On the other hand, I also cannot imagine how in the world it could have been an accident. I just thought of this--If RH forgot that he had Cooper in the car with him and forgot to turn left toward the daycare after only 30-40 seconds after strapping him into the car seat and leaving Chic-fil-a, drove to his work place still not realizing he forgot that left turn toward the daycare, backed into his parking space (he could not possibly do that without looking in the rear view mirror or looking back over his shoulder) and still did not see nor think of Cooper, what on earth caused him to remember Cooper on his way to meet friends that afternoon? Did he look in the rear view mirror while driving and see him - maybe a leg, foot, or arm, the top of his head? What!?! If that is what jogged his memory, it is impossible to believe that during the drive to meet friends was the FIRST time he used his rear view mirror that day. None of it makes any sense at all.

I think I understand what your saying. Just because something makes JRH look bad, it doesn't mean that it's relevant and will be admitted at trial.

I don't think the sexting is going to be thrown out. Not when they said he was doing it all day and Cooper was in the car all day.

By the way, I have no idea what ITA stands frr???

That's what the defense is going to try like hell to prove when they try to keep it out of court. But I don't think they will succeed.

I totally agree = ITA

The sexting shows problems in the marriage. I see the relevancy.

This will interesting if they do throw each other under the bus -- like the Seth Mazagglia trial. I'm still miffed that Kat got such a good deal, when she was (MOO) clearly involved.
