To answer the question about the frequent flyer miles: Many credit cards have rewards programs where for every dollar you spend, you get 1 or 2 points in an airline miles points programs. For example, my card is linked to my Delta account so I charge everything -- utilities, groceries, gas, everything -- to maximize my miles. It works out to about one free plane ticket a year.

Maybe Ross was trying to claim he started using the credit card a lot to accrue more miles. But 4,000 miles won't really get you anywhere. It was just a way to try to make himself sound financially savvy and shrewd rather than a doofus in more debt than he could handle. $4,000 is a lot of debt on a $60K/year income.

It only makes sense to do this if you have the cash to pay for the purchase, but use the credit card instead for the miles. Then when you receive the statement, you pay it off. Anything else is just stupid.

I don't get it, I tried it with my ipod touch camera and couldn't tell if anything happened. What is supposed to happen? (never planning to change in dressing rooms again!)

never mind, the video is great! now I got it!

We don't know for sure that his work hours that day weren't approved or usual, do we? Just wondering if HD or any co-workers have commented.
Doubt they will now that they've fired him. Surprised they didn't do it sooner. This sure has brought the nationwide chain bad publicity.

You don't happen to work for HD at the Treehouse location, do you? :giggle:
It was called the "elevator statement" where I worked. No matter what floor or what wing the media was on we all answered the same.

But, while the public may have made up its mind about the baby-faced IT specialist, charged with felony murder and second-degree cruelty to children, legal experts say the case against him, while solid, is no slam dunk, especially if the charges are upgraded to indicate malice.

“Look at Casey Anthony,” said jury consultant Jeri Cagle, referring to the Florida mother found not guilty of killing her 3-year-old daughter despite what prosecutors thought was overwhelming evidence.

Maybe HD fired him after recognizing their toilet in that selfie.

After watching the probable cause hearing again on wildabouttrial, (which contains the entire hearing, unlike the 3 part you tube version), I am starting to have doubts about his guilt. I was so ready to see this guy hang, but now, not so sure. The prosecution was allowed by the judge to run roughshod over the defendant and his lawyer, and the judge appearing to have made up his mind early on what the outcome would be.

There were interesting things I missed the first time about how Ross & Leanna split the pick up/drop off duties so that Ross was not always dropping him off, and sometimes he would drop Cooper off then go back out for breakfast before returning to work. They were not necessarily having financial difficulties. The detective skewed Leanna's comment about "no more than anyone else" to become "financial difficulties". The convenient missing time frames on some of Ross's alleged searches, like the surviving prison and second viewing of the vet in the hot car thing. I know if anyone looked at my viewing habits, it would look crazy. I'll run across something in a forum and want to follow up on it, and it could look strange or even incriminating to other people.

On the phone testimony, it was not clear as to whether he simply pulled his phone out as he went back into the building after lunch or whether he was pretending to talk. He may have been checking for missed messages. Whatever NG has to say is about that is suspect. I can't even watch that buffoon without laughing anymore.

The judge dismissing part of a witnesses testimony by saying it's not even important.

Even Ross's behavior, while it looked initially to be lack of emotion, starts to look more like he's trying hard to suppress emotion.

His mother's anger on Facebook about speculation by the media who doesn't even know Ross. I would be angry and frustrated as well at the steamrolling of my son by "throw him to lions" mentality.

I dunno, was hoping maybe others might watch again with an open mind, not so clouded by media and public opinion and see if anyone who is deadset on his guilt might have a shred of doubt.

I saw her Facebook post, and it did nothing to make me think he wasn't guilty. I saw a mother in denial about her son. She didn't even acknowledge his sexting issues or cheating on his wife. Only went on and on about what a "wonderful father" he was.

I will never understand why family feels the necessity to go online and make comments about their son or daughter, or whatever when they have been arrested for a crime. You would think there would be other things to do, like wondering why your kid has killed, something that would be practical instead of "you don't know him/her," well no kidding, and I don't want to. It's not like people are going to go, I'll take her word for it, I'll bet this is just a misunderstanding.

I don't know about anyone else, but I always approach these cases, new evidence, and all hearings with an "open mind". It's a bit insulting that it's being insinuated that because the majority of us plainly see his guilt, through logic, reasoning and fact--that we are somehow closed minded.

Showing the urinal bathroom picture. LOL!

JLM says he lies about his name, his age and where he lives, but tells the truth about being married

ETA: TH asked if RH & LH could be swingers

  • #313
No... Well Macy's may likely monitor it too - most big dept stores do...but I live closer to Macy's and likely to be there sooner. Most big dept stores watch. Mostly from above- not behind the mirrors. The way I look at it- it's not like anyone is seeing anything they wouldn't see at the beach. I never strip down bare in the dressing room. NEVER. Not after what I've seen go down in those security rooms.

but what if you're shopping for a bra? I'm nothing to look at but I don't like the idea of being laughed at either!:scared::tantrum:

How much do you think LH makes?

Coming up, they're going to talk to RH friend C. Wilkerson.

Haven't they already talked to her?

Anyway they say she (CW) has a new theory about the case.

Regarding JRH being deaf in his right ear--an excerpt from a lengthy article referencing among other things posts he'd made online about how it happened, and to what degree it bothers him today:

If the prosecution is smart, they'll get his hearing tested.

The urinal selfie was taken in a restaurant in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.

http://www.accessatlanta.com/weblog...-ross-harris-took-bathroom-selfie-during-val/

Harris dined there on Saturday, Feb. 15 with one other person, the manager said, citing a search of restaurant reservation records. Harris' name had not popped up before that night and has not since then, the restaurant's reservations records indicate. The server who waited on them said Harris dined with one other person but did not recall any specific details about the party of two, who dined at a table near a window in the restaurant's main dining room.

C. Wilkerson thinks that RH wanted out, his family is religious so divorce would be frowned upon by them. Especially divorce with a young child.

But if an accident happened and they lost a child, a lot of marriages don't survive the loss of a child, so divorce would be understandable.
