Caught a bee....:(

Awwww

I want your puppy!
My old lab used to chase bees,
we ended up at the a animal hospital 4 times!
Once she rolled in something dead
that was covered in Bees. Bad bad day,
the death ride, made the occasional skunk
spray tolerable. Probably the worst ride of my life.
She made it though!

I haven't read the link but a quick thought might be adolescent car deaths? Backover deaths out of a driveway and pulling into a driveway or area? jmo

Back overs= running over child while reversing

Front overs= running over child while driving forward

Kids and cars is a great site for safety tips and stats.

I just can't read all of those informative links.
This case is really getting to me...I can't bare the thought of reading about even more children dying this way...

It makes me physically enraged that noone will manufacture a working prototype of a sensor for a car seat because of fear of liability and lawsuits. WTF. We have the technology. We have a design. It needs to be rushed to market.

Jmo, a lot of talk about how 40 seconds is such an incrediby short period of time, how could someone forget...and then about how incredibly long a period of time 30 seconds is, to have sat in the car at work. Anyway...just something I noticed.

I can see companies being wary...as stated, if one child died, lawsuits would be enormous, company would likely be wiped out.

I agree with you. I don't agree with their reasoning.
If I don't buckle my seat belt my car alarms and tells me to
If I still insist that I am not wearing it and I get in a wreck and die no one can blame my car.
I wear seatbelts. Does the alarm keep dinging or does it shut up?

If my car can alert and buzz because a car is too close in traffic, my alarm should go off as I walk away if there is any weight in the backseat. Baby, watermelon, 12pack of beer...
I should at that point be able to shut it off and verify I checked the seat, no need for alarm.
And I already see problems...
Hmm...
OK! What about a sensor for the interior that alarms when something moves inside the car when it is shut off?
Kinda like a security system at home?
The watermelon and beer won't move a child or dog would.
Then no one could loiter in cars! Lol

Long and short for the same reason. 40 seconds is a short time to forget, and 30 seconds is a long time to not hear, see, notice, continuing to forget Cooper.

Lawsuits would come anyway, jmo.

Regarding the car seat alarm -

Couldn't the company just post a waiver - a disclaimer that releases them.

Warning: We are not responsible if child is left in car seat, YOU ARE.

Alarm clock companies are not sued because someone's fired due to tardiness - then again, I haven't checked, maybe they have been.

It's a sad world when no one takes responsibility for their own actions - always another to blame.

my opinion, etc. :moo:

Well poo... I was half asleep and the 4:30am news came on. WSB TV

I heard Ross Harris' name and "expected in court", then they started talking about pay pal refunding money after some "changes" during the PCH
OK. sexting 6 women at least one 16 year old is just "changes" now?

Crud! Hopefully there will be a link in a few hours.

Ross Harris is expected in court in the next 36 hours. They did not say why.

I have to wonder if that hair style is Alabama's version of trendy and metro-sexual. Hard not to notice that RH and his friends also seem to be quite hefty which is a common side effect of traditional southern cooking and NO real exercise.

Fortunately it is NOT the style around here, plus the men are almost all very outdoorsy so they stay lean and mean despite the high cal southern food (and bangs not only look silly but they would be extremely impractical, 3 minutes of outdoor exercise in this heat causes sweat to pour down one's face).
