But the daily news article cites the fox affiliate for the statement about the search and the linked article from the Fox affiliate doesn't say when the supposed search was conducted.

The excerpt in bold, below, is from the Fox affiliate source linked by the daily news - notice they don't even say WHO did the search (they say "someone"), much less when the search was conducted.

Unfortunately, I could have predicted as much...pffft to the msm. They get worse every day, it seems.

FOX 5 I-Team reporter Randy Travis reports that investigators seized Ross Harris' work computer from Home Depot after his arrest last week.

In the search history on that computer, a law enforcement source tells the FOX 5 I-Team someone searched for information on how long it takes for an animal to die in a hot car. The FOX 5 I-Team has not been able to confirm when that Internet search was conducted.

The Daily News Article is HEADLINED "Georgia man searched Internet for time it takes animals to die in hot car in days before toddler died in overheated SUV: report". I do not understand why you are not seeing it.

It is damning... The Randy Travis report has single-handedly removed all support for Harris.

one of the critical missing pieces of this puzzle is WHEN was mom supposed to pick up the lad that day....I don't know if we will know that answer until trial

I think she is trying to say that's the ONLY place that is saying such. The leak was directly given to the reported who said LE did not specify the time. I think the article is wrong. No one else is passing on the information, certainly not the man who it was reported to.

I think the search is very good evidence, I just don't think there is anything to corroborate that article's claim of when it was made.

Regardless of who wrote it I'm sure his mom approved it or at least read it before hand. As far as mentioning car, maybe it was more important for the family to remember his love of cars over it being the place he died. The fund comment is very common. This fund has helped them a lot and the family would prefer people donate to that in memory of Cooper instead of sending flowers that will die.

I can't fathom why a family would want to bring to light that a little boy who died from being locked in the heat for 7 hours due to his father, died in his favorite of things.

That truly boggles my mind.

I think what Karmady is saying is that if you read the Daily News article, they quote from the Fox article. When you read the Fox article, they specifically state that they do not know (from LE) the time or day the search was made.

Now, I just confused myself. :scared:

I AM seeing it. And the statement is sourced to the Fox Report I linked which doesn't say it. So the headline doesn't match the known facts cited in the very article bearing the headline. No big surprise there lol.

She might pick him up at 5. That might be why he left when he did.... he needed to make the discovery at some point. Her part-time might be 3 full days of work and 2 the next week or some such schedule. idk

That's exactly what I'm saying. Thanks! :seeya:

There is only one source...only one. Randy Travis via an anonymous source.

That's fine. Leaks happen in most high profile cases. I have never followed one where the links were wrong, so I am accepting it at this point.

To clarify, I've not followed one where a leak claiming to come directly from LE who has seen it themselves being wrong. Plenty have been wrong when there has been people passing the information they overheard.

How about the blood and vomit on the mop?

Circumstantial evidence is often stronger than eyewitness testimony or confessions. Eyewitnesses often get it wrong- just watched an episode of Forensic Files where several witnesses to a rapist/serial killer all reported he was white. His DNA correctly identified him as black. They got him based on his DNA profile.
Confessions can also be false- see Mark Karr in the JonBenet Ramsey case, and Chuck Erickson in the murder of Kent Heithold, got Ryan Ferguson falsely convicted.
Does this answer your question?

It answers how you feel about circumstantial evidence, and you made great points regarding it btw, but no it did not answer my question regarding if you feel just because someone is brought to trial and evidence is presented that they are automatically guilty because if so that is every defendant who ever lived. judging by all your past posts you are very intelligent, articulate and well informed so I'm guessing you already see the ridiculousness of my asking that question. I was just trying to make a point that a prosecutor's theory and evidence isn't always right, can be speculative and just because the prosecution presents it it doesn't make it a fact. Some evidence is stronger than others and I absolutely recognize that. One of the many many reasons we have jurors is to fairly weigh and conclude if the evidence presented individually seems reliable and when combined proves the prosecutions theory and the charges brought forward.

I'm glad to see I wasn't alone. The portion of the obituary that mentions car, truck, vehicle, parking lot - for a child who died in a car, in a lot, left by his father...
Well, I find it unusual. Quite unusual, indeed.

Via Kindle, like a true Amazon junkie

We're on the same page. It also shows sensitivities to the words protect, vehicles, cars it's just really odd language.

I agree 100%. I honestly believe there is more to the story than Ross is letting on, but I also honestly believe that the obit is 100% from the heart of whoever wrote it, with no agenda. Reading it made me weep... without changing my feelings towards the father, it made me weep for Cooper...it gave me insight into who this little boy was. I honestly don't think there was any agenda in that obit. And I think if you take yourself out of this case and read it, you will find the same.

WTH? Where in the world is "blood and vomit on the mop" coming from?

"Leaked" information from LE that was absolutely groundless but spun the talking heads into a veritable frenzy.

Not this case. ;D
