Considering this is a high-profile case, I think they will be able to use the media to make $$ for his defense.

No. She has a clear professional career path and some academic achievement. She also had a job, that holds nice promotional opportunities within the company. Promising direction and a good path is what I'm talking about.

He was not in college and working as a parking monitor. Then a mail clerk. So...

Well that didn't come from the wedding announcement, and that's what I was talking about.

I have a professional doctoral degree and there are plumbers who make more money than me and have WAY more free time with their kids. I say good for them.

Leanna Harris said she worried about not being able to have a child and was joyous when Cooper was born. The couple had been married since 2006.

"He was perfect, and he is perfect," she said of Cooper. "He changed mine and Ross' life. I've talked to you about the magnitude in which he changed it. As children do, he turned our lives upside down. ... I wouldn't trade it for the world."

The last two nights of Cooper's life, he had trouble sleeping and ended up in bed between her and her husband, Leanna Harris said.

"I remember turning over in the middle of the night, his mouth was open and his full toddler lips just breathing right into my face," she said. "I will cherish that moment forever."

Leanna Harris followed her son's casket out of the church, still on the phone with her husband.

Before hanging up, she said, "I love you."

That's fine. Totally acceptable opinion.
You don't need to claim your previous job was in law enforcement and fail to state it was a dispatcher job, to bolster that opinion.

That's what I have a problem with. And he did it repeatedly, about everything.

Where I come from, we call people like him, Bull Shiit Artists.

No, you don't need to state where that knowledge comes from. But I do think working police dispatch is a valid way of gaining knowledge about how LE actually functions. If I was offering advice about what to do, I would likely say what my background was unless it was against the TOS lol

I have a feeling he will do a jailhouse interview w/ the media in the next week.

He better learn how to pinch a tear or two on command before he does.

He sure looked well rested in his mug shot. Scruffy cause he needed a shave... But no red rimmed puffy eyes, no dark circles...

What I'm saying is he bounced around from job to job. The jobs never had anything to do with each other and were pretty random. He didn't settle on anything until recently and has had this job. It seems at the time, she had the more solid foundation as far as a path in life, and direction.

The disparagement in relationships, of one person having their stuff together and one person meandering can take it's toll. The pressure of living up to or matching what another person achieved already can cause resentment. I have seen it so many times. I am just speculating. That's allowed.

Yes, I wonder why he switched around from such different jobs. Does he get "bored" with his life easily? It would be interesting to see whether the job switches happened every 2 years or so.

I'm just now getting around to looking at his internet history, but on Reddit speaking of his getting his degree so late in life, he talked about not having enough money and not wanting to take out student loans. I wish I could link it, but obviously I've clicked on the reddit link too much and now I have to "contact them" if I want further access? Yeah.... no, thanks.

Looks like every couple of years. No word on a job before he was with her.

"He held jobs at the University of Alabama from August 2001 until May 2006 as a parking monitor and later as a mail delivery clerk, said Cathy Andreen, university director of media relations.

He worked as a police dispatcher in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, from June 10, 2006, to May 22, 2009, according to Police Department spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley. He said the department would confirm only Harris' tenure, and not any details from his work history, so we don't know why he left the job."

After that was I guess school and home depot, which he has been at for 2 years. Maybe, he was itching for a change?

ETA" I'm sorry, I absolutely can't get this to link!!! That quote was taken from an article on CNN from yesterday.

Posts on Reddit re: abortion, many are under 1 y mark for sure, as I did a time filter on his posts.... He has strong opinions (pro-life), but didn't strike me as extreme in terms of his commitment to them...

His Reddit account is really dull and I've given up! Mostly indecipherable football speak. He is thoroughly obsessed with football, and probably music is a close second. He seems to love and be proud of his job at Home Depot.

Mentioned wanting a 4 bedroom house minimum. Wanted to get an MBA one day.

Talked about many different careers (football coach? "police enforcement" (--this was dispatcher, we know). Says he makes $61k but also that he has tons of student loans from graduating 2012. (Possible motive?)

All and all his Reddit is not that revealing. His interests and aspirations, while nothing like what I might want, appear so normal as to be banal. That said, we have to remember that lots of people who commit crimes want the same things as we do--the difference is the means...

Only thing that stuck out for me, which another poster also mentioned (I forget who--sorry!!) was the recent (within 4 months) conversation he initiated on Reddit about meteorology and how to know which weather model was reliable. This stuck out because I don't think he started any other threads, only commented on existing ones. He initiated this 4 months ago, so it's fairly recent. And also because his baby died on the hottest day of the year, after he researched how hot it had to be to die in a car.

The man is searching how to predict what the weather will be like in the future AND searching how long it takes a child to die in a hot car. This is just stomach churning! He was planning and scheming, waiting for the weather to finally get hot enough to carry out his plan. With all the evidence now leaked and the maps of the route, I don't understand how anyone could still think this man is innocent. He was in debt, wanted a bigger house, wanted attention and for people to think he was important and is most likely a narcissist and/or sociopath. Killing his son the way he did got all his boxes checked. I so hope he doesn't get away with this! I feel like I'm watching the male version of Casey Anthony right now!

I don't have a problem with how many jobs he had or what it has to do with anything. The past several years, the job market has sucked. I did not know that he is a bragger but that still does not have anything to do with the baby's death. IMO. I think he wanted out if the marriage and did not want to pay child support. All speculation on my part.

Excellent thought. I'd be willing to bet $$$$:moo:

Is it just me, or did she seem to have some nice accomplishments already? Him...not so much. I wonder if she was the breadwinner until Cooper and made more than him. When she had him, maybe the pressure was on to match or exceed her salary? She had her stuff together, and as far as I can tell he had no real professional accomplishment until recently. (Even then, his job is not really special. I'm sure it's a nice job just coming into the field, but it's entry level.) he sure does tout that position now, like it's something to be impressed about.

Did you catch his reddit comment about his ex-girlfriend of 3 years who he said dumped him because her parents thought he wasn't going anywhere with his life?

RH said something to the effect that he couldn't wait to see the looks on their faces when he becomes VP of a Fortune 50 company.

When I read that, I thought - betcha don't want to see the looks on their faces now, do ya, mister future VP?

Yes, a number of people have done just that.:moo:

I think jobs and his financial state are very relevant to this case. Not wanting to pay child support has everything to do with finances and loans. Inflating your accomplishment can show your character traits. Every part of his life and the time leading up to Cooper's death, is relevant. I'm sure the police will tell you that, as they are likely picking apart his life and financial and marriage state.

If you don't think it's relevant, cool. You definitely don't have to participate in that line of conversation. Those that do feel it's relevant can.

I wonder if he ever got a chance to speak with his wife, without being monitored, since he was taken straight from the parking lot to the police station. Or do they have all of their calls and conversations recorded?

I bet the look on her face says, "thank god I dumped that loser psycho."
