What is reddit?

a social network forum type place that is not allowed to be linked at Websleuths. It is similar IMO to topix and is sort of a mish mash of conversation/discussion/posted photos/memes and rife with troll like behavior. Again JMO.

if you decide to venture over there to read up on his activity there just remember we cannot cut and paste or link but may paraphrase in very general terms.

His user name there is RoscoeUA Hope that helps :)

Harris is an IT guy and he has to know they are going to search his computer. He has to know how to hide stuff, but he didn't

I am just not seeing this as intentional yet.

There is no way to "hide stuff". But if he also knew that other recent cases such as this were ruled as accidents, including one last month... he may have thought it would just be ruled an accident and there wouldn't be an "investigation". He may honestly be just that clueless.

and who gets to eat it??

is it shared with all the guests??

There is no rule about who eats it... generally slices are cut of the wedding cake and grooms cake and guests can choose either, or both. It's usually just a fun cake that relates to the groom in some way, and is usually a "gift" from the bride to the groom.

From the article linked earlier, something else jumped out to me. Ross had a dream about Cooper being in heaven, before he died?
"Ross Harris' father also spoke to the crowd sharing a story about how his son Ross had a dream Cooper was sitting on Jesus’ lap looking down at them, before the boy's death.

He said he was playing a guitar in the dream and Leanna was working in a nursery with other children."
Could that be another indication of premeditation?

WTH?!
Did they both have Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome? Or delusional? [modsnip] Romanticizing a babies death.
This story is getting crazier by the minute.

It seems that lots are clueless about these new fangled electronic gizmo's these days, and how the use of them can get the owners in trouble.

Oh me to! I search everything involving cases I follow. Some would make people scratch their head I'm sure. I would have a lot of explaining to do but I could! I might have a random thought and look something up from an old case for because I forgot something but for the most part my searches can be connected directly to something in the news or I saw on TV.

I agree everyone knows cars and heat are deadly for peole and animals. I will say I didnt realize how fast it could happen. I recently read stories of kids going to get something out of the car or playing hide and seek and being overtaken by the head in mere minutes. I'm not sure what time frame I would have thought would be accurate because I would be way to paranoid to leave my child in the car more than 30 seconds to grab the mail or put my newborn in. And even then the car is running with air blasting and door open.

I remember when my kids were toddlers, I read/saw on tv an awful story of a child playing hide and seek and getting trapped inside an old abandoned refrigerator. I did not google "how long will it take a toddler to die inside of an abandoned refrigerator". I immediately had my parents remove the door of an old ref. in their barn - we didn't live there but my children would visit of course. Precautions are good and understandable....

I think this small bit of evidence will all depend on the exact timing and wording of the search. I still think there is more out there (in addition to these google searches) that is yet to be revealed - things that LE already know. jmho

as to dad's alleged dream about Cooper being on Jesus lap prior to Cooper even being dead and mom with all the little ones in the nursery:

it is said they had conception problems and were over the moon to discover they were expecting Cooper. (please don't ask for a link as I will not be providing one. I am exhausted from finding links on this case after the last week. If you must consider it rumor)

But a woman who is very active in her church community who does not have children but adores them would perhaps volunteer to help out in teh church nursery. Churches are communities in many ways. People pitch in. People tend to pitch in where there talents or interests lie. Again MOO. No links forthcoming.

I think Harris was referring to his wife and the church nursery.

The cynic in me also questions whether both parents knew this info about her searches would be coming out very soon and this was a way for him to cast her in a nurturing light prior to that happening

The Web Sleuth in me found much of what happened at the service yesterday very distasteful and more like a performance meant to lay the defense's groundwork for trial. Again JMO and that is as far as I will comment on yesterday's service at this time.

I am familiar with the term "rainbow babies" and to me you are twisting it. It generally refers to babies born after the first child died of some tragic and UNPREVENTABLE illness/cause. Not further babies born to a parent/parents RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR FIRST CHILD'S DEATH! Would a second child born to parents whose first child died in a meth lab on their property be a "rainbow baby"? Of course not! That would be preposterous, and demeaning to parents who lost a baby to leukaemia or another such UNPREVENTABLE cause!

(caps for emphasis, not yelling)

Thank You. And do parents normally discuss the upcoming 'rainbow' baby, while the deceased child is still laying in the casket, waiting for burial?

I am an IT person and I don't know how to hide stuff except for destroying the computer .
Why would you search at work if really planning a murder? Search at the library or some other public place.

Lucky Cooper. He is saved from a selfish world.

Reminds me of some of those cults who die drinking the Kool Aid or whatever

Here's my two cents:
They were delusional and in a cult [modsnip].
The dad is a narcissist thinks his son is his property.
Mother took out a large insurance policy on the child's life.
If you are a creationist and believe in God's will, why the need for insurance policies? (just thinking out loud)
One or both of them have Munchausen by proxy Syndrome

Everyone.

A wedding cake is traditionally white with white icing. A groom's cake, back in the day, was almost always chocolate.... to give guests more cake options to choose from. They can be elegant, or some have been silly and decorated with interests of the groom. (Not my style.)

My husband's was a beautifully decorated red velvet cake with cream cheese icing.

I love websleuths and have been lurking here awhile. Hearing everyone's thoughts and opinions help me see all sides. As a mother of young children, this case pulls at my heart strings. I have a hard time believing that parents would harm their children intentionally, however I know that it does happen. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that he forgot his child in a matter of minutes and that the child would not have been making any noises to remind the dad that he was back there. That said, I can somewhat understand the internet searches. I live in birmingham,al. Around July of this year there was a case of a mother leaving her child in their car while she went to work. She forgot to drop the child off at childcare. I remember reading the story and googling child left in car deaths to see how frequently it actually did occur and details surrounding the incidents. I remember thinking, "I hope the child didn't have to suffer long and the death was quick and painless". The story was all over the news. With them having family in Tuscaloosa, I could see their family mentioning it and the couple looking up details. The internet searches could be innocent. The other factors in this case are hard to understand, but this one I can see having a logical reason behind. Or...he could have used to it to come up with his own idea to leave his son in the car. Just thought I would share about why I think the internet searches could be innocent.

I'm wondering if there were issues regarding this family's ability to pay for daycare. The internet searches could have been research to determine under what conditions a child could conceivably be left in a car before conditions became life threatening. Maybe they were thinking it was their only alternative if daycare was no longer an option ?

On the topic of Internet searches, if anyone were to take a look at my search history, I would probably be locked up for a very long time. Especially if I had been researching a Websleuths case.

I'm more concerned about the fathers apparent conduct/role playing on sites like reddit. IMO, he attempts to portray a 'character' he feels might make him more relevant to a particular discussion. He switches roles based on what he thinks other users might want to hear. Redditors are generally a smart group and love sniffing out multiple ID users. I'd be looking for him on other sites like 4chan, badbreeders, and dreamindemon.

Vehicles are dangerous places for children. There are many other ways a child could suffer serious harm inside a vehicle other than those related to heat.

Maybe her statement at the funeral was that she was giving up Cooper for biodad. Perhaps Cooper had to die on biodad's say so. To keep him pure, to punish her, whatever...

Maybe Cooper is a product of an affair, or Cooper had to die for other delusional reasons.

Thank you and for the life of me I can't remember the *&^%%$ 's name
Same kind of persona too!!

Super hero to everyone in the community always had time for people's troubles.....

He should be getting out of prison soon I believe ---

Are you talking about the murder of Lori Hacking by Mark Hacking? She was in the early stages of PG when he killed her.

His first eligible parole date is in 2034. I remember that case well.

MOO

Nope. Never.

This is totally my gut instinct based on a close friend that escaped from a very fundamentalist patriarchal marriage. This guy reminds me so much of her husband. Their children were viewed as objects to make him look good. He too took lots of photos and appeared in public to be a doting dad. In private his wife and children were ignored or walked on egg shells. They were there to serve him. She was expected to be submissive, he was the leader. He also bounced from one job to the next and was a huge exaggerator & bragger. If he wasn't doing a good job, if he was miserable, if something didn't go right, she needed to try harder because it was all her fault.
He would buy very expensive things and toys for himself ...yet his wife shopped at theift stores for her & her children's clothes. And she and the children ate beans & rice for dinner 4 nights out 5 while he ate steak and dined out with friends. The children had few toys because he didn't think the children needed them and hated seeing them laying around.

All of that to say...I'm wondering what the inside of their house looked like....

There's a pic of the living room on one of his flickr or photobucket accounts.

I can imagine the mother doing whatever she can to help her husband. If she thinks he's innocent and he just forgot like everyone else, she may be thinking "Why is everyone picking on him? Parents do this all the time and they are not charged. Why is he suddenly worse than everyone else."

And frankly they can't prove he did the search. And she has no real involvement or motive so she's going to create a reasonable doubt.

To be honest, if I was in the same situation I'd do the same damn thing, if I thought he was really innocent. I'd be angry. "You took my baby, isn't that enough, you AREN'T going to take my husband as well! NO WAY!"

I still have sympathy for her.

BBM

But didn't he ADMIT doing the search? That's why her admission is so odd. Does this mean they both did searches about kids dying in hot cars?
