IMO, there was no noise. he told people his long deceased child was choking and I don't believe any noise to be true. JMO.

Anyway, I will have to catch up. It will be easier than me guessing what they discussed.

I haven't heard any report that he said he heard a noise followed by a bad smell. Only that Cooper was choking!

I still think the smell would have been overwhelming before Cooper was moved, whether it was from decomp or not. Like I said before if my 21 month old has a bowel movement in the same room as me it stinks to high heaven! There's no way a baby could sit in an extremely hot, closed car with a diaper full of a few bowel movements and not smell really bad. Forget decomp, just the hot urine, bowel movement and sweat would stink bad enough. I also think the previous posters may not have actually experience with the body of a baby that has died in those circumstances. Heat would make a huge difference in the rate of decomp and the smell of gases being released.

And that smell from dirty diapers would have hit him the moment he opened the car door - both times!

They interviewed a local defense attorney on CNN about the case. He said IF they prove mom helped dad then she would be as guilty as dad for crime even though he carried out the act. Interesting. Reporter said they expect police to release more info to judge to prove enough so that bond won't be allowed for Harris.

So if the dad committed a crime and the mother helped him, they'd both be committing the crime?! WOW, that's astonishing! lol. Not directed at you, Lorne, but at the talking heads.

I think we're just assuming that he heard a "choking noise" that caused him to pull over for help.(IF you believe Dad's choking statement). Because we also assume Dad couldn't see Coopers face because he was rear-facing in his seat.

Personally, I believe the Dad as far as I could throw him.

Wait till you get there then. No one's denying the smell. They're just explaining how it's consistent with an accident.

But separate from gaseous burping, the car would already smell from ripe diapers baking for 7 hrs in the hot sun. Not to mention the steaming vomit.

The implication is that when he noticed it, he pulled over. Did you read the posts yet? They explain a lot about the smell.

Logic would say the odor would be at it's Max when you opened door of oven. When he first got into the auto the stench would've made anyone look to see if a rat died or maybe they left Taco Bell bag or OMG I forgot to get MY CHILD after breakfast!!! Call 911. Wait I can't do that, I was a po-lice dispatcher in Tuscaloosa and I learned quickly, your conversation is recorded and can be used against you. Wait, I'm supposed to meet friends for drinks, etc. Why don't I drive somewhere and act like I just discovered my precious baby is in the back. It's only another 10 minutes, that won't make a difference in whether my son lives.

Surely everyone will understand that geez, I'm an IT specialist for a Fortune 500 Company. I had a busy day and simply forgot the little one. OMG. Somebody call 911 for me!!!!

I know people grieve differently. However...IMO they do not behave like he did. They don't turn their back on the child as soon as an "audience" member joins the show....
A grieving parent wouldn't become irate, uncooperative ( unless being lead awAy from their child's side) and they wouldn't become angry.

I don't know if this is breaking news because I'm in Australia and this case is receiving very minimal coverage. But apparently the mother had been brought in for questioning.

But do we know WHEN she admitted to having done such internet searches?............was it prior to Cooper's death or following? I could see her doing so after his death, perhaps her just wanting to know what the poor little boy would have endured, maybe hoping he would have slowly passed away without any pain or suffering.........and looking for any kind of info that would support this hope.

So again, have LE or MSM indicated *when* she had done such searches?

I'm not sure what significance that would have in a child so young. Toddlers require a LOT of direct care whether special needs or not such as routine, feedings, sleep schedule, etc. Our grandson can't communicate using words but he still communicates the way he always has done so with tears, laughter and babble. The phrases, "Uh, oh" and "No" are recent. None of it has prompted his parents to suddenly become frustrated because he's still so young.

If he was special needs or had a chronic condition, it could explain a bit of the mom saying she would not bring him back if she could, yet would have another child, Imo.

Presumably. We know he once had a job as a police dispatcher so he definitely knows that 911 calls are recorded and played in open court during a trial. It's certainly convenient that he made sure he didn't make that call.
