All this about being the family "leader" and then being such a philandering narcissist. He reminds me somewhat of Bob Bashara... JMO.

I agree. I think I posted the same thing a few threads ago. Now, after today, I see the resemblance more than ever.

Maybe that's exactly WHY he did it. Because people would say, wait, he was in LE. He knew is computer and phone would be looked at. Therefore, it MUST have been an accident.

Could be but it still doesn't make logical sense to me.

And him being in law enforcement makes it all the more puzzling.

This is really going to hurt him with the jury whether it had anything to do with Cooper's death or not.

To me, the whole "but there's no malicious intent" statement is super freaking weird. It sounds like it just popped out of his face upon the surprise of being arrested.

Sounded like something that was thought about long and hard before the performance of the event to me.

I have been on this man like white on rice since day one because I felt he intentionally did this to his adorable little son. I was so relieved today when the Judge said this could wind up being a death penalty case.

Yet I had a different reaction to the sexting today than I thought I would have.

Instead of it convincing me he is guilty as the sin he committed it actually has puzzled me somewhat.

And the detective did make a point to say that Harris seemed well versed in the law and its terminology. We also know he looked at different sites pertaining to the criminal justice system.

So while I cant even stand to look at him.... I don't think he is a stupid man by any means. So why would he do all of the sexting and sending a photo of his erect penis on the very day that Cooper died?

He had to know that his computers, both home and work, and cell phone would be taken. Even one that doesn't even keep up with cases closely knows that just by watching normal tv shows.

If he had preplanned all of this out it seems like to me he would have made sure he was either busy doing HD work all day, texting someone and mentioning Cooper in a positive way or emailing someone at the church. That way it would appear like he was a good guy just going about his day at work.

So instead of it convincing me it was premeditated .....for the very first time ...that part just didn't add up with the preplanning. In fact it has left me very puzzled.

IMO
I think he assumed that the investigation would never delve that deep, because it would be viewed as just a tragic accident. That, and he just has no self-control and just couldn't help himself.

I bet. One time I realized on the highway I hadn't buckled my infant daughter's strap (the one in the carseat) OMG I didn't know whether to fly to the exit or slow to a crawl to the exit.

I have twins so they (even@ 12 months) were chatting with each other ~~ I was a wreck! Knew husband would be mad over broken window but they came first~ I was lucky family close by and able to get key but that window I was scooping out!

And uncontrollable libido.

a lil boy dies for that? If you can excuse that for a baby dying while he jacks off in his work to send a nasty pic, then you will excuse anything.I'm sick of it.:banghead: Every case

And if he weren't a narcissist who'd already cheated on her once, had a "wonky willy" in the marital bed but was perfectly capable of sexting his erect penis to other women, I'd totally agree with you.

I respectfully disagree -- because a narcissist knows how to "pick them" (and by that it could be almost anyone). They can figure out rather quickly how much grooming and bending it will take to wrap someone around their finger and while they like a challenge, they won't waste their time on someone they can't control. And by that, I mean control when it counts for HIM -- he might have encouraged her to pursue interests and hang out with girlfriends for all we know... but if he did it wasn't because he cared about her. It was either to give himself free time (for sexting & hookups?) or to appear to be the perfect husband.

Because he married her, I'll bet that he knew how to play her like a violin, knew how to work her guilt, knew how to play the victim and gain her sympathies, etc and so on... so she might be mourning the loss of her son, but she could also be addicted to trying to be his "everything" and she simply cannot accept that he is a monster and will bend over backwards to make excuses for him so he won't leave her AND it's painful to admit to yourself that this person you love & believe in DOES NOT EXIST AND NEVER REALLY DID -- educated, pretty, doesn't matter. It's especially hard on someone who is intelligent, IMO, because you're constantly questioning things -- it's always on your mind, and it can take over your life. They may have disagreed & argued from time to time (probably in her moments of clarity) but the sun rose & set on Ross's arse. So it's possible that she's trying to "be strong for Ross" and that the realization & gravity & pain & anger won't set in until she has been free of him for some time and can "see the light."

IMO, LH should be very relieved he is behind bars because who knows -- two weeks, two years, ten years from now.... she could be next on his list of inconveniences!

That is, if she's not as narcissistic as he is -- just like Stoddard says, "we've only scratched the surface" -- it will be interesting to see how it develops and her comments & behavior thus far come into play over the long haul.

Respectfully, MOO

excellent post.....thank you

Im behind here but.......He was in Law Enforcement?

Right.. I could see where abrasions on the back of the head might be caused by attempts at CPR in the parking lot. But, not the facial scratches. Nevertheless, we can be pretty certain that the poor child must have struggled. :anguish:

BBM:

Huge forensic differences between injuries before or peri-mortem and post mortem.....very easy to differentiate at autopsy.

Mentioned before: yes, that child struggled & suffered BIG TIME!
(IMHO, that is)

He thought it would be proof that he really and truly thought he had taken Cooper to day care?

I think it was a set up and she was probably part of it. He was waiting for her call and wondering why the call hadn't come yet. He left work early and told his buddies he was going to be late. WTH? He was diverting the movie thing and I don't even believe he had any intention of going to the movie anyway. He needed his wife to call him in a panic or "panic" about Cooper after it was discovered he wasn't even there. Remember she tells the guy at the reception he must have left Cooper in the car. It was rehearsed IMO. Sick sick sick. JMO

I really hate to get into the head of someone like this so if you don't want to then please stop reading now ...

But I think killing his kid was part of his sexual fantasy. He was getting off in the middle of the act, like many other murderers have done.

He thought he was finally going to be free of his burdens and able to sleep around with his fantasy women. But fortunately a different future awaits him.

It sure sounds like he looked up what is considered as 'intent'.

It was like he was trying to spar with them on the correct terminology about what 'intent' means. As if he was telling them they had no proof of 'malicious intent' since he is saying he mistakenly left Cooper in the car. He sounds like a pompous arrogant narcissist who thinks he knows everything.
