Can this problem also result from the use of Androgel - testosterone replacement gel?

@leeleeua Yes. Angrogel can reduce your sperm production. Any form of testosterone will suppress pituitary secretion of FSH which is needed for sperm production. hCG, clomid, letrozole and other injectable medications like Bravelle, Menopur, Gonal F may increase sperm production since they replace pituitary hormones

@mperloe This information is disappointing to me since none of my husbands medical professionals nor mine (my OBGYN) have mentioned this. We are a young couple and obviously want to have a family one day. Even in questioning my OBGYN about the use of androgel and sperm production, she stated it shouldn't be a problem. He has been on the gel off and on for about 2 years and he has also had injections in the past. Thank you for your quick response!

Actually, the people who were most supportive in the beginning are some of the best people I know. That's what gave me such pause. I only moved here after high school, and most of the people I know here are very, very good people. However, most of these people know the RH of the past.... as they went to high school or college with him. They also know or trust his/her family (ex... police officers, respected community members.)

If it had been people *I* went to high school with supporting him, I would have automatically assumed he was scum, because most of my old classmates have pretty serious records, themselves!!

I wouldn't say these are people who "hang out" with him. My husband and I have been away from our home state for almost 16 years, but there is no doubt in my mind that if this situation was ours, my husband's old classmates, childhood neighbors, etc. would be saying, "He's a great guy. He would never do this!" Because he was..... (and is, btw!!) :love:

Maybe these people who claim to know JRH really don't. Who's to know?

I live in Tuscaloosa. The supporters I've seen tonight are people who actually know RH. Someone commented about "lies, news reports, and gossip" and how if "any of us actually knew him, we'd know he has NO sense of smell and is deaf in one ear."

The people I know who know him are doing the same thing. There is a doubt here or there, but most are still in some stage of denial or other. A couple are starting to come around and don't know what to say. The most outrageous comment I saw was "well, just because he was sexting underage girls doesn't mean he killed his son!" Maybe not, but do you [the person, not anyone here] not think that maybe it means you don't know him as well as you thought? I think it's just going to take time to sink in that they had no idea who their friend was. It's only been a couple weeks. I can't blame anyone who is still reeling after genuinely thinking he was a nice guy and finding out he most certainly was not.

I'm not linkable either, so rumor, but my rumor backs up your rumor. :twocents:

We are not morning people in our home, so the whole morning timeline seems off to me. Who wakes up at 6:30am and watches cartoons until 7am, but isn't at work until 9am? Could something have been brewing that morning?

Of course, my kids have always been late sleepers, so it just wouldn't be the norm for us.
