GA - Tamla Horsford, 40, found dead after party, Forsyth County, 4 Nov 2018

They were all drunk from what i gather. Sad to see, but someone with a .23 BAC and xanax in their system is perfectly capable of falling over a railing....
It perplexes me that others didn't see her as "drunk." Her BAC is three times the legal limit, and she has Xanax and THC (from pot, I presume?) in her system. I'm surprised that she could even stand.

I can see her getting confused because she was not at home. She goes out on the deck to smoke and comes back in. Then, she goes out again thinking that she is going to bed.

I don't see how this can be a homicide. The security system registered the door being opened, closed and then opened again. It didn't register it being closed again. Did it? If not, doesn't that indicate that she was the last one going out on the deck?

I'm not saying that something diabolical could have happened where the person committing the crime knew not to close the door again; however, what would be the motive to murder her?

JMO.

Maybe the second time it was opened, someone else was going outside with her.

I don't know what to make of this case. I trust Sheriff Freeman to not cover anything up for people. And I can't fathom why she died either. People don't just randomly off someone who comes to a slumber party. They may talk crap behind someone's back but kill them and others help cover it up? I think they would have cracked by now.

I would like to point out that Forsyth County is not remotely the same place it was many decades ago. Most of the people living in this county aren't native to the county. It is not some hotbed for racists. I am not saying they don't exist. They exist almost anywhere. But most of those old school hick racists moved out and north decades ago. This is a very affluent county populated almost exclusively by people who moved here from somewhere else and not populated by the people who drove others out decades ago. I am bothered by the attempt to lump the whole county as part of an early 19th century lynch mob.

Why do you trust the sheriff?

Photos of inside the home.

This article has very good info. I like that you can see some of the crime scene photos & hear interviews.
From that article, one of those whiskey tango moments:

One woman diagnosed with severe anxiety told police that her medication made it impossible for her to lie and that she is so dependent on her anxiety medication, she wore a necklace with Xanax in it.

A necklace? Wow. Just wow.

Guess carrying it in your pocket or bag isn't flashy enough ;) how much could the necklace hold, 1 or 2 pills??
Also, I've never heard that Xanax has any impact on lying. In fact, if you're so chilled out, it's probably helpful.

So all we need to give criminals who lie is xanax? Then Poof the truth comes out? lol Sorry, I had to.

I'm guessing what she means is that xanax works like a "truth serum" when she is on it. And I guess that would sort of be supported, it is in that same sort of drugs. But, if she is using so much she has it in a necklace, despite her diagnosis of extreme anxiety, I'd bet she is highly addicted. She is just as capable of lying as the next person, and appears to have done so here in denying she ever shared her drugs with anyone.
