Tesfu Gebru, 48, hasn't been home for two weeks, after his family said he went on a grocery run but never returned. Tesfu Gebru, 48, hasn't been home for two weeks, after his family said he went on a grocery run but never returned.

He's from Ethiopia but immigrated to become a citizen in 1999 so he's familiar with the area. Prayers that he is found soon.

His wife reportedly called the police when her husband, the father of a 12, 10, 6 and a 2 year old, did not come home as expected after work, but Atlanta Police waited 24 hours to officially place him as a missing person, kick starting an effort to find him.

According to media reports, “Police have established that his credit card was used at a gas station on Monday, but there was no video footage in the gas station, and hence unclear to tell if it was him or not.”

Has it been mentioned what type of vehicle he was driving ? Or if he was driving or walking ?

It's also bothering me that the article says he was reported missing to the Snellville, GA PD, which is in Gwinnett County instead of DeKalb County. Maybe I'm just too much of a stickler for accurate info as to place missing from. The recent Demetrice Allen case in Atlanta is also still fresh on my mind. I hope someone is helping Tesfu's family check area hospitals.

I noted in the obituary his date of death was listed as Dec. 15, but as of Dec. 22, the family was still on MSM searching for him. Usually the DOD is the date the body was found if the actual time of passing is unknown. So something must have happened wherein they knew when he passed. So sad for his family.
