Young mother Thaina Noresca left her residence on foot taking a small number of personal belongings on May 1st. She has a history of doing this but has always maintained contact with family and returned within 1-2 days.

Police said that because Noresca once mentioned moving to Houston, they are now working with law enforcement there to find the mother of two.

Police said Noresca was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red Mickey Mouse t-shirt and brown sandals. She also has a tattoo of “Anina” on her right wrist.

She is described as being between five feet, seven inches and five feet, eight inches tall.

There is someone with her name in Brooklyn NY on Facebook, no recent posts but good resemblance. Had she lived in New York at one time? Thaina Noresca

This article stated she has two children and may have pawned her phone before leaving.

Pawning her phone surely indicates voluntary missing, no?

I'd agree, a quick way to get some cash needed for travel, and if she didn't want to be tracked through her phone, a bonus. The fact that it's been stated she has a history of leaving her residence with some belongings hopefully means she's safe and will contact someone soon.

If she is voluntarily missing then people should stop looking. Let her be.

Who's looking after her kids?
You're suggesting that she should be tracked down, basically, on child support grounds?

3 months without contacting anyone vs. the few days days as before seems off. I certainly undertsand why her family is worried this time. And her family knows better.
She could just call in the PD and state herself she needs time off.

No, I'm concerned about her young kids! And since she was reported missing, surely leaving her kids behind could also be a cause for concern?

That’s why you can report you’re safe to any police department by showing ID without worrying they will tell anyone where you are. Otherwise it’s too easy for people to slip through the cracks.
