Of course I agree murder is wrong, period. I'll rephrase, yes asphyxiation ( (if that is what happened here, say via carbon monoxide for eg ) is a violence perpetrated on the victim. I guess all I'm staying is that if it came down to (for eg) drugging the victims and then asphixiating whilst unconscious vs a vicious stabbing (for eg) where the victims experienced conscious terror, pain and realisation, then I would feel some relief that the latter did not occur. I think this is the message the police are actually communicating when they say no violence, though we shall wait and see ofcourse. Jmo
