WA Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide in suburban Perth after finding two teenage boys and two adults dead in a home in Mosman Park.

Yes he did. It just makes it even sadder.
As for why? I'm going to purely speculate and say it sounds like the children had complex needs and there may have been financial difficulties. The strain probably took its toll. There's always alternatives. These are the actions of a desperate person.

Just putting this here for balance, with the caveat that we have no idea at this time whether the health or disability of the children was even actually a factor in their murder.

Terrible and literally close to home for me (TBC I don't know the victims but live 20 minutes away ). It's always extra shocking and in this case, extremely sad when tragedies such as murders/murder-suicides happen in the area where you live.

At this point, all I can say is I'm thankful none suffered from violence although the instigator moo had a choice and murder is never, ever okay. If you must, please just take your own life but leave your children (and spouse unless a pact) alone...they have a right to live. Moo

Of course I agree murder is wrong, period. I'll rephrase, yes asphyxiation ( (if that is what happened here, say via carbon monoxide for eg ) is a violence perpetrated on the victim. I guess all I'm saying is that if it came down to (for eg) drugging the victims and then asphyxiation whilst unconscious vs a vicious stabbing (for eg) where the victims experienced conscious terror, pain and realisation, then I would feel some relief that the latter did not occur. I think this is the message the police are actually communicating when they say no violence, though we shall wait and see ofcourse. Jmo

You're probably right, but there is just such a history of minimising in the media when disabled kids are murdered. As though it's acceptable somehow because they were disabled, especially if they were murdered 'gently'.

People tend to focus on disabled as excuse, and not on murdered children. Children who had just as much right to exist in murdered as any other child.
