Just letting you all know that I've connected with a true crime writer in CA named Gina. She is personal friends with Paul Holes, who helped to solve the Golden State Killer case out there. He helped her solve a crime of which she was a victim many years ago. They've stayed in touch even though he's moved on to fame and fortune. He now has a TV show on Oxygen known as The DNA of Murder. Gina has told Paul about Terry's case and sent him my article and he's considering it for an episode of his show next season. All I can do is hope this comes to fruition.

@Livinia you did a great job on the article. You certainly are a true friend.

Hi, I heard that a professor at Kennesaw State U. in GA used her case in his class. I would love to connect with that professor if you think he's still alive. Would you give me his name? Do you have any notes from that part of his class that you would share with me? What do you remember about the case, if anything? I would love to hear from you again.
I took that class at KSU w Crowder in 2000. I may still have all of my info actually if you’re interested I can look for it.

Wasn’t Piedmont’s hub in Charlotte NC?
I have a cousin that worked for USAir and will ask her if she heard anything.

Yes, PI's hub was in Charotte. Thanks for your input. L.

OMG. This would be wonderful if you would do this for Terry and her family. I will send you a private message through this site with my email address and we can go from there. I appreciate your help sooooooo much. L.

I was going to recommend Paul! So happy to see he’s considering it! I will also send an email to him, maybe it will help gain some traction!

Hi, Thanks so much for connecting with me. You are so kind to offer to send Paul an email. I need others to get on the bandwagon here. The family is still too traumatized to do much, which I fully understand. I know you can't post his email address here, but if anyone would like to try, you can send him a message through his new show on Oxygen, The DNA of Murder. If he gets enough messages, it might persuade him to look into it. Here is the email address of the show:
[email protected]

Thanks again. L.

Well, that's good to know. If you have any media contacts in Atlanta, it would be great if I could access them. The Atlanta paper told me it won't take any freelance work. The Marietta paper showed some interest, but never got back to me. The Atlanta Magazine takes months to respond to pitches, but they only feature known writers, so I doubt they'd publish me. But you never know... I've learned that in most cases, it's who you know, not what you know, unfortunately.

Dear Websleuthers:

I had a back injury in early October and am still recovering, so I have not been able to do much on Terry's case. One woman who contacted me told me she thought she still had her notes from the college course that addressed Terry's murder. Although she said she'd share them with me, I've emailed her twice, but she hasn't gotten back to me. So, nothing there. I went on a web site detailing the crimes of Georgia killers for the era in which Terry was killed, but none of them matches the MO. Does anyone know of any sites and detail serial killers by MO? Thanks for all you do.

Please if you have time, click on this link and ask Paul Holes to consider taking up the case of Theresa Kopec, killed in Smyrna, GA, in April 1984: Contact - The Murder Squad

Dear Websleuthers: I tried to upload Terry's flight attendant photo to a new message but it came out as an attached file. Anyway, there is her photo. L.

Hello everyone, I just learned about this case, today, from a post on a Facebook airline site. I have never heard about it! I was a flight attendant for another airline, based in Atlanta, at the time. I lived in Marietta in 1984, but had lived in the Smyrna area years earlier, as a new hire. This case really disturbs me, as I could put myself in her position.

Question: Does LE have any DNA?

I will continue to check in here, and will ask a good friend, who flew for Piedmont, to see if he knew anything.

God bless you all who are looking for some answers, Terry looked like a wonderful person.
