same here, and even in the previous thread i remember people saying that exact body of water should have been searched.

Yeah, it’s right downstream from where he lives. The Chattahoochee has been searched a little bit but I don’t think there have been any divers.

I so dont want it to be him, yet I want closure for all involved.

hey just a heads up...this is 4miles from his house, and many people here were originally asking for this body of water to be searched.

Officials: Body found in Chattahoochee River

The body was found about 9 p.m. Tuesday. It is believed to be that of an adult male, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Officials have not said how long the body had been there or what tipped them off to it being in the river.

“The preliminary investigation is not showing signs of foul play,”*Atlanta police Officer Stephanie Brown said.*
The body is believed to be that of a man, Channel 2 reported.
“At this time, we cannot confirm the age and race of the individual,” Brown said.*“The cause of death is pending an autopsy report. The investigation continues.”

Close to his house: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/33....68842ebd36!2m2!1d-84.5074592!2d33.7953137!3e0

I think there's a good chance this is Tim. It's about a mile walk to the nearest bridge over the Chattahoochee: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/[email protected],-84.4619037,16z/data=!4m2!4m1!3e2

And he was supposedly seen taking a run the day he went missing. :(

Please, no!

Yet at the same time, family needs closure. They need to know what happened to their loved one, whoever he may be.

There is one on S. Atlanta Rd. and one over James Jackson Pkwy (which I *think* coincidentally is the spot involved in the Atlanta child murders/Wayne Williams case of the Atlanta Monster podcast).

Not going to assume this is Tim, but both of those bridges are heavily traveled. I struggle to think no one would have seen him. Unless he really was spotted that evening jogging and it was after dark. February was pre-Daylight Saving Time.

As has been reported in this thread, quite a few other bodies have been found in Atlanta since Tim has been missing. This is the only one that’s giving me chills. :(

According to this video report, the body in the Chattahoochee was initially found by fishermen, who called authorities:

We must wait for identification, but like others here, I fear that this may be Tim. As Han mentioned upthread, they say there's no initial evidence of foul play. Whoever it is, I hope that if there was foul play, the autopsy will reveal it...

I really hope they found a skull with teeth so that identification can be made through dental records and we don't have to wait for DNA testing. Dental ID does not take long and LE should be able to find out today if this body is or isn't Tim's if they have teeth.

Yes, I agree. Any unattended and/or suspicious death should be investigated to make sure there is no foul play. I have a feeling that LE's initial observation of no foul play will be correct, but they wouldn't be doing their jobs correctly if they didn't investigate to confirm no foul play.
