How old are the grandparents?
Susan
According to the county records grandpa is 62. He's not a small guy either, at 6 foot. Bet he wishes he'd gotten to the intruder....

Hmm. This is from http://www.scandekalb.com/modules.php?name=News&new_topic=8
The mother of the children and their grandparents were in the house when the two were shot. Authorities say whoever did the shooting was able to get in and out of the home without being spotted. Neighbors reported hearing a series of gunshots.
Except it is not mentioned anywhere else in any of the articles I've read about it.
In the Atlanta Journal Constitution it says this though:
She said they did not hear the gunman enter the house, and were awakened by the gunfire. No one saw the gunman leave after the shooting, Parish said.
Investigators had found no witnesses among other residents in the neighborhood off Candler Road in south DeKalb County, Parish said.

*ponders* Who to believe....
Wow. I lived on East Howard Avenue for a while, exactly across the tracks from ASC. Tiny world LOL.
Early 90's? If you tell me you used to get ice cream at the DQ on the corner (triangle) there, I'm going to scream. LOL
Willie Kelsey killed a 7-year-old with 11 shots, and put five bullets in the child’s teenaged sister for only $100 and a show of loyalty to a friend.
His goal was to kill or intimidate witnesses to a brutal 2006 home invasion as part of his loose affiliation with a violent robbing crew that bullied DeKalb County homeowners, businesses and drug dealers for three years...
Kelsey accepted a negotiated plea deal that would give him life with the possibility of parole plus 80 years in prison, as opposed to the death sentence prosecutors initially sought when he was indicted in 2007.
