He spoke to a coworker BEFORE 0530? Did they work night shift? Because that's waaaay early to be calling a coworker.

So strange. Of course we don’t yet have enough info to know much of anything, but it struck me that his car was found at a church. Can’t say why, but that wasn’t what I expected.

That or possibly they worked somewhere where they had to commute a bit.
My husband used to leave out at 4:30am or so to meet coworkers so they could drive to the worksite.

Believe this is the Mill Creek Baptist Church where his truck was found parked.
It took me a sec to find the right one (actually several in GA). But this one is in Lumpkin Co.

The location seems quite rural.

Curious what the circumstances were around his truck being parked there.
Was it a place he regularly parked?
Did he attend church there?
Was it just by chance someone found his truck there?

BBM for focus

I agree we don’t yet have enough info.
And of course with that, comes a handful of questions I have.

•Was talking to his coworker before 5:30am a normal occurrence?
•If not, what was the conversation about? It states he seemed to be ok during the conversation.
•Why was his truck parked at the church?
•Was his truck locked?
•Was there any damages to his truck?
•Did he leave anything behind...keys, phone, wallet?
•How far is his house from where his truck was found?
•Does he live alone? Have they checked his house to see if anything seemed out of the ordinary?
•Anything major or different recently going on in his life?

>>See! Told ya I have a lot of questions!

According to his 2018 fb page (the first one is from 2019) he has children. Tony Cates
Judging by his father's 2020 obituary he has a fiancée.

Re: The truck being at the church, I lived in a pretty rural area outside Indianapolis once and it was not uncommon for men who worked at the same major Indy employer to carpool from a church. Four guys, three leave their vehicles and one drives them all. It's pretty common.
