What's next? <modsnip> If the police don't arrest these violent criminals soon surely someone is going to end up dead.

Every time there is a new post to this thread I eagerly check to see if it is an announcement about arrests. Pathetic that these kids have not been charged yet.

When this case was made public I knew it wasn't just Trent. These "kids" have been doing this to other kids, and will keep doing it. Wait and see.

Maybe that's been addressed here, but I heard that the FBI is involved now, because tying him up could be construed as kidnapping, which is an FBI crime.

I would think the FBI would view it that way. Very glad they are involved.

Police are investigating a second incident at the St. Simons Island, Georgia home where Trent Lehrkamp was tortured. Second incident involves a different teen allegedly shot with an “orbeez” paintball gun, our @newsnation station @wsav has confirmed.

Paintball gun incident allegedly happened before the Trent incident -- but was reported after.
This just plain old does not surprise me at all.

Paintball guns can cause serious injuries, so let's wait and see if there was an injury in the mentioned "incident."

Researchers from the University of Chicago Medicine examined data on attacks with paintball guns over the course of two years and discovered that more patients than anticipated experienced vision-threatening emergencies after
being hit in the eye, with some suffering an eyeball rupture or even going permanently blind...

Police in Glynn County have met with prosecutors as recently as last Thursday to talk about charges in the Trent Lehrkamp case. Police continue to investigate, but a law enforcement source tells me to not expect arrest this week.

The Orbeez Challenge is not local, but a new nationwide trend:

The DA says investigators found Trent volunteered to be hosed off, wasn’t forced to drink, was in an egg fight, voluntarily drank alcohol, wasn’t urinated on, wasn’t beaten, wasn’t simply dropped off at the hospital.

I don't believe for a minute that a person who was breathing 16 times per minute was in any way lucid enough to agree to the level of intoxication he was at. I smell a coverup.

Agreed! Didn't his family even post on SM that Trent wanted justice? If he volunteered and willingly did all those things, what would he be seeking justice for?

ETA:

Found the article -- ‘I’m alive and doing well’: Trent Lehrkamp continuing to recover out-of-state

Trent thanked people for supporting him, saying, “I’m alive and doing well. Just know it’s going to be a long time for me to get over this, through the trauma, but one day hopefully within the next few months or so, I might be back.”

Trent is now supporting the police investigation into the three separate attacks he went through, adding a strong promise to the end of his message saying, “justice will be served.”

Agree. I don't think Trent was in any condition to participate or consent to anything.

These charges seem very light considering this incident required hospitalization and at least one other occasion with these "friends" necessitated an ER visit.

There is a delay between consuming alcohol and becoming intoxicated. People literally drink themselves to death all the time.

I seem to recall Trent was also on some kind of antidepressant or antianxiety medication?

It's only a matter of time until these vile kids murder someone.

I am stunned...wow! IMO, I truly feel there are underground threats and deals being made here. This ending doesn't justify the means. Money talks and bull$h*t walks??

I thought it was 6 breaths a minute?

@BrettWSAV

LEHRKAMP FAMILY: “It is hard to believe and it was the first the family heard that he consented to being hosed down. He was visibly passed out in that video while being hosed, doesn't seem to make sense someone would consent.”

A teen who tells me he held Trent's head up on the trip to the hospital and left his number in the emergency room, says Glynn County Police never called, and he was only interviewed after his friend's grandmother called 911 five days later.

You are correct. I mis-typed that. That's taking a breath every 10 seconds. I don't believe Trent was a willing participant.
