GA - Twin brothers miss flight to Boston, found dead 24 hours later in Georgia mountains, 14 Mar 2025

Hopefully, whenever the final report comes out, whatever it says, GBI will explain exactly everything they looked into and how they came to their decision.
agreed. i think the 1. presence of gunshot residue on one or both, corresponding to handedness of the twins 2. gsw entry point and direction of travel 3. fingerprints on the gun will be what sways the GBI the most.

Also, I would expect LE would want to get access to their phones/computers, and it can take time to crack passwords.

I have to look back to see when the GBI made the suspected M/S statement. Your post makes me think that most of the things you list, would be determined in the inital autopsy. Perhaps that's why they went that direction.

I keep checking the GBI Death Investigation report (link below) for any updates or if they will make public the results of the pending forensics test (bbm).

"A GBI medical examiner has completed the autopsies, but the official ME ruling and results are pending additional forensic tests."

I also wonder if the planned trip to Boston played any role in their deaths, whether ultimately ruled suicide/murder or homicide. The timeliness of the trip seems (Imo) relevant, but unsure if it's ever been reported how far in advance the trip was planned and airfare purchased, etc.
Good points.
Was there anything that bothered one or both of the twins re the trip to Boston? If so, then perhaps it may have led to mutual suicide, or murder then suicide. That is really all I have WRT suicide.
I still think foul play could be the reason for their deaths -- not suicide or suicide/murder.
Hoping we will find what really happened to those young, handsome, new graduates.
Prayers for their family -- I cannot imagine how these deaths have affected the family -- no matter how the young men died.

New interview fills in some critical info and gives us a much better sense of who the twins were as people. IMHO - I'm still leaning toward this being part of some racially motivated foul play.

Highlights:
1. Qaadir and Naasir's family (or at least his father's side) believes the twins were lynched. (As an historian, I can confirm that his description of the area and the history of lynching are 100% accurate.)
2. Clarifies the timeline their flight(s) and why there have been some discrepancies on the reporting - Apparently Naasir was scheduled to fly out solo on March 7th, but missed his flight and came back home. He rebooked it for the next morning, March 8th. I'm not clear on whether they were both flying out together that day, as previously reported, or whether just Naasir was flying out and his brother was taking him to the airport as this seems to suggest.
3. Clarifies when they were last seen - Friday night, March 7th.

Side note: For those speculating about such matters, it appears the twins' father is Nation of Islam. Final Call is NOI's newspaper. Please note that NOI is a uniquely African American denomination of Islam, and should not be conflated with being ethnically/racially Middle Eastern or generally Muslim.

With the new information from the interview, the situation is even more suspicious to me. He missed his flight and immediately rebooked one for 24 hours later. Why would he or both twins drive to a random mountain right before a flight, especially after missing one? If that were me, I would be staying put at home to make sure I wake up and get to the airport on time the second time. IMO, JMO - they were lured there by someone.

After reading the article, I still don't know much about the brothers. One was studying mechanical engineering and the other was studying aerospace engineering, but no mention of college for either one. The one brother who was flying out missed his first flight, but family raises concerns that there is no way he would miss a flight (twice). No-one seems concerned with who he was going to visit. When their father can't articulate a name, there is no follow-up.

I would be most interested in what information is present on their phones. Text history, map searches, GPS data etc. For them to have been "lured" to a strange place, there should be a digital trail.

Since almost all of our information comes from non-custodial family, and almost none from third party sources. I don't have much to work with.

Autopsy results and phone histories should answer a lot of questions.

I agree the information in the interview seems to lead a long way away from anything involving suicide.
Totally agree.
Like many of us when we we were looking forward to graduating H.S. -- parents proud, other friends of theirs who are exited about their next "adventure" after graduating -- college, or jobs awaiting their graduation, etc. Taking a short vacation -- as they were...
Hoping for more info...

Respectfully, this was the quoted opinion of Tiger Harris (uncle) speaking for himself.

To be clear, there's no evidence of a lynching per the autopsy that is pending toxicology. The preliminary ruling by GBI is the teens died of a murder-suicide by gunshot wounds to the head.

The basis of the uncle's opinion was that the bodies were found in KKK territory.

I am still not clear exactly where they were when they were last seen. And, again, I was looking at Google maps to get a general idea of a route they may have taken. Google maps points out there is 8.8 miles of unpaved road, which looks to be the final miles getting to Ball Mountain.

I still remain flummoxed that they would have driven there of their own free will. After dark/before sunrise, through rural areas (with historic sundown town areas), dark counry roads, including miles of unpaved roads. It just makes no sense. Imo.

Well, sadly, we do not know much about our adult children. Here, we have a blended family, a father who had a stroke and needs care, and two younger children. So I think the family was trying to survive and keep afloat given all the recent problems. The twins were adults.

I can’t comment on the cause of death because i simply don’t know the area. I hope the family will get their answers. Very sorry for the parents.

One question. Does anyone know who is Quaadir and who, Naazir, on the photos?

One thing. Twins can see the same dreams, like the same things, have similar tastes…and yet, have very different personalities. It is a well-known fact.

Well, just feeling very sorry for two lives lost so young. Wishing the families to get their answers. RIP, Quaadir and Naazir.

RSBM - usually when someone is referring to as studying something with a major it means in college. it's mentioned in the article that both twins were in college. JMO.

Final call cites both were college students but did not name the college:

Naazir and Qaadir Lewis graduated from Collins Hill High School in Gwinnett County, Georgia, in May 2023. They were both college students.

Two things I would like to know:
1) where were they in college?
2) were they in a fraternity?

Any reason at all to consider they may have been forced to commit these acts of harm on each other under threat ?
I have not followed super close so no outside thread work other than news articles I have read.
Super sad case no matter what but it does seems odd with the missed flights and the random mountain.

Seems to me from both MSM and Final Call that they were last seen by their step-mom (K Lewis) late Friday when all three said goodnight and went off to bed. She's not aware of what time they left the home (early on Saturday) after they said goodnight.

Also, it's presumed Qaadir was to drive Naazir to the airport early Saturday after he missed his initial flight scheduled for Friday morning. Contrary to earlier reports by extended family, it's now reported that only Naazir had a ticket and travel plans.

This is a good example of where the GBI has obviously known much more information here than the extended family giving interviews. MOO

In following the GBI's initial murder/suicide ruling, I wonder if the Boston trip was a point of contention between the two brothers, with only Nazzir scheduled to make the trip? Although each were individuals, by many accounts, the brothers were inseparable and spent a lot of time together. We've not heard much about the trip; ie. how long it had been planned or how long Nazzir planned to visit. The timing of the trip may be coincidental, but (imo) I think it holds some keys. Was Friday's missed flight simply oversleeping, or was there some debate or conversation between the brothers about Nazzir taking the trip.
