GA - Twin brothers miss flight to Boston, found dead 24 hours later in Georgia mountains, 14 Mar 2025

I’ve also been thinking along these same lines & you’ve stated my thoughts clearly. The claims aren’t very clear from the family.
No they aren’t. I have many more questions, that was just an example off the top of my heqd. It’s a little frustrating to me that reporters aren’t asking any questions either.

Same here. All I can guess is that most (?) reporters often tend to go along with the powers that be and not stir things up -- especially if it is said to be suicide.
I don't believe, however, that the family of the twins are done and willing to accede. JMO.

True, but they are making strong accusations with no basis or foundation. Then making statements but providing no details.

They can’t “be done” or really even begin to reconcile the loss of Naazir and Quaadir, until the case file is officially closed and released. I don’t know how much more clear the GBI can state this?

yes, possibly catfished with blackmail online there are some very nasty emails that show up and I have received them...they will show a picture of your house and say they know all about you and are going to expose you...

I just delete them, there is nothing to expose about me so I know it's rubbish. But they are terrifying and if you don't know better you might believe it.
There have been numerous suicides of young people (even pre-teen) that were lured into sending “nudes” (or being led to believe that there are “nudes” of them) that will be made public if they don’t pay up and/or comply with the scammer. I hope that isn’t what happened here.

Thinking about the parents and other kin of these young men. What a loss.

This is an interesting concept. I'll not delve in to it as it presents difficulties, however, I'll reiterate that often young folks are doing one play, whilst adults do another, and the play that is being acted out in the lives of youth isn't always known to the adults in their lives.

That being said, I have an active mind, and contemplate scenarios all the time in these cases. So this is purely a what if....it's only conjecture....what if, one twin was unaware the other was going to commit suicide, for reasons of jealousy per se, or some other reason, and upon witnessing that event the remaining twin simply could not endure, and did the same?
This has not even occurred to me! As in one brother lured the other there on pretense and then pulled the weapon?

This is absolutely a possible scenario I never even considered.

Thank you for the insight.

basically this case is probably easy to solve on it's face and maybe they did solve it. but this case is more than just face value. it is an extremely strange web of circumstances that do not fit anywhere in with the boys known behavior, skills or whereabouts... they have no history of trouble, violent tendencies, depression or mania. they have never threatened suicide, there were no recent
traumas or failures that we know about..they were good students and very well liked.

that they were in fear and are now dead is troublesome and I think the case deserves way more scrutiny.

mOO
Are you relying on the family for these details?

Looked for an update and found none. Evidently the GBI has still not formally closed the investigation. Which is what the family is waiting for, in order to obtain the case file.

Looked at the two Fund sites. The GSG went virtually no where. The original fund, gained very little it’s at $69k - far from the $300k ask.

Posting link because it mentions the two brothers

  • The GBI is investigating the death of 38-year-old Phat Tan Bui, a missing Norcross man found deceased inside his van at Bell Mountain in Towns County; foul play is not suspected.
  • Bui’s death marks the third person found on Bell Mountain this year, following the March deaths of 19-year-old twin brothers Qaadir and Naazir Lewis, which were ruled a double suicide by the GBI.

Why did they buy the gun and ammo? Miss the flight, etc?

Honestly, from an emotional point of view, I would prefer your theory to be correct. It would be easier to accept, for me, than what LE determined to actually be the case: two bright young twin brothers decided to kill themselves, bought a gun, read up on how to load and use it, then drove through the night to a location unfamiliar to them and shot themselves, one after the other.

I still can't fathom how or why this tragedy happened, so I just keep it, like a haunted relic, in a corner of my mind, but so far it appears nothing has emerged to disprove LE's assessment of the facts or support any other scenario.

I don't know if this has been stated in this sub yet but it comes up everytime I think about this case. why does missing the flight to Boston lead up to them committing suicide? If this was planned after the trip to Boston, it would make sense, but we have no idea if this was planned at all so it is just speculation at this point.

For me, thats the confusing part.

Only one brother had a flight booked - Naazir, I believe - and he missed the flight for arriving at the airport too late.

In terms of pure, wild conjecture, maybe it could be theorized that one brother intending to fly off without the other could have galvanized some crisis between them, something around being inseparable, about not being able to make their way in the world without each other.

I don't even know what I'm trying to suggest. These brothers, IMO, clearly had a very intimate bond, one that somehow let them agree with each other that suicide was the better choice. They loved each other enough to see and accept that, but not enough to try and save each other?

I'm never going to be able to resolve this case in my own mind, I don't think. What a terrible event.

i feel the same. I do keep up with updates, as if there might be some other outcome....
But i pret-ty sure this is not going to happen...
I dunno... just two adorable young men with promise... that is still all I can see.
